- Actually. It's source... --aut (t) 15:49, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- ^. I'm aware, I put "sauce" intentionally =p. ~ PheNaxKian talk 16:43, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Eh[edit]
Can you help me? *Looks at signature*. --Naoroji I need help! 11:10, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- the problem is that on here we don't have Template:X or Template:X-color (which you've said it needs, though we can probably work a way around it for now =p). ~ PheNaxKian talk 12:37, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Are those the only two templates that are still required? Because, if so, I can just upload them into my userspace. But, are you sure those are the only two? No other templates required? --Naoroji I need help! 14:24, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- you need the profession templates (and the associated colour template as well). ~ PheNaxKian talk 14:48, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Where would I be able to find those, though? I mean, I can't find anything at gw1:Template:Warrior per example. --Naoroji I need help! 14:49, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- it's gw1:Template:W etc. and the colour one is gw1:Template:W-color ~ PheNaxKian talk 15:20, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- K, so I've made a list of what I'll be needing (Here), but how do I link the icons to their respective templates? --Naoroji I need help! 15:50, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Scratch that, I'm getting there. Thanks for the help so far :). --Naoroji I need help! 15:55, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

- It would have been better if you just ignored the fact that your character templates are not working here. After all this is about Guild Wars 2 and having character templates that base on templates that are bound to Guild Wars 1 professions (colors, icons) are kind of wrong here. Also could you remove that link from your signature? If you want to ask people to help you, do that, but don't spread some link to one of your userpage subpages (which might be deleted in the future) via the signature. Thanks. poke | talk 17:05, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- sorry poke, i figured it wouldn't be too bad considering he was creating the templates in his user space. ~ PheNaxKian talk 17:17, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- 1. I removed the message in my signature. 2. I'm creating them in my userpage as PheNaxKian said (part for actually learning the Wiki-coding ways). 3. The icons I uploaded into my userspace clearly have 'GW1-' in the filename. 4. I also want to show my GW1 characters on my userpage, just because the games are sequels after all.
Sure, they might be a little out of place on a Guild Wars 2 Wiki, but are there any concrete reasons as to why I'm not allowed to do this? --Naoroji 17:22, 4 May 2010 (UTC)- So, ehm,... Could you like, check out my Templates and see if I made any errors/left anything out? I think I've got them all now, but they're still not working as they're supposed to. Pretty please? :) --Naoroji 18:14, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- I just made the changes (hope you don't mind, i couldn't really tell without tinkering myself with all the various template calls). You can see what i changed in the history though.
- Basically, you'd removed the "profession" parameter and placed a "User:Naoroji/Template:Profession" parameter instead, and you'd left the default value for the colours calling a template "x" instead of "any". (you also had profession templates using Me/Mo/W instead of at the full name). ~ PheNaxKian talk 18:52, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

- I never said that you are not allowed to do it.. All I said was that it makes not too much sense to do it.. (You could have done that on GWW after all..) poke | talk 18:22, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I might've reacted overly defensive. But no, you're right, it doesn't make all that much sense :/. I'm just trying to get a hang of templates though, and by copying them to this wiki, I've learned a lot about 'em. Also, it keeps me busy :). I apologise, Poke, for the overly defensive tone of my last comment. --Naoroji 18:35, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Could you help me once again with my CharBox? This time, I want a border around the images you can input, but I really haven't a clue as to how to do that,... Wiki-code still deludes me. --Naoroji 22:35, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
- well, are you wanting it so the image will always have a border, or optional. Is the colour optional, or does it have to be in the profession theme? =p. ~ PheNaxKian talk 23:18, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
- Ehm, the border is optional xD If there's an image, I'd like a border. If I haven't uploaded the image yet, I'd like no border D: And haven't got a clue about the colour yet, maybe just a simple black or w/e. But I'm betting that won't look good,... Hmm. --Naoroji 08:55, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- done, I made it so the border round the pic is the same as the one round the box. ~ PheNaxKian talk 11:31, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Ehm, I don't think it's working xD. At least, I'm not seeing a border? --Naoroji 12:02, 7 May 2010 (UTC)- Nvm, found it. Thanks! --Naoroji 12:06, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, the last question,... Comparing my own CharBox to my GW1 CharBox with eachother, well, you see what I mean, no? :P The big logo is missing! Any ideas? I swear, I'll leave you alone after this :P. --Naoroji 18:41, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- that uses CSS, so if you wanted it, you'd be the only one who could see it (unless you can convince admins to put it the the wiki's common CSS) (there might be a way without it but i can't think of it off the top of my head). ~ PheNaxKian talk 20:00, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
