Engineer[edit]

moved from File talk:Professions reveal detail 1.png

This is definitly some sort of Engineer with a Turret infront of him. InfestedHydralisk 21:35, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Thats an interesting point, i was hoping i that maybe an engineer character would replace the ritualist with turrets instead of spirits. I remember seeing concept art that looked like turrets in daniel dociu's art slideshow.http://www.arena.net/blog/watch-daniel-dociu%E2%80%99s-incredible-concept-art-slideshow--24.5.97.189 16:58, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
If this is an engineer, I hope the remaining adventurer is not a spy. I like the perspective of an engineer, it's got more pizzazz than simply "gunner", the same way we've got "rangers" instead of "archers". If you had turrets, however, and since you apparently must avoid the enemy's attacks to survive in this game, it could prove troublesome against bosses, as you could dodge, but your turrets could not, so they would most likely get reduced to junk all the time. Unless that's precisely the point - you and your group taking care of the turrets so you can have many at a time. I suppose in PvP it would be a defensive profession. But I dont really the turret in this picture; it looks more like an armored hand or claw or paw or whatever the charr have. The necromancer is not shown with his minions anyway, rather weird hands coming from the soil. It has been revealed that only two professions have pets, and we have the ranger and the necromancer, so if the minions classify as pets, the turrets would, and likewise, if the minions don't count as pets, neither would the turrets! Maybe it's an engineer but his gadgets acts more like spells, making it more like an adventurer/scholar prof, if thats even possible.--Doctor M. Ginius 13:55, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for the late reponse, don't check here too often yet. But you can compare the Engineer to the Ritualist (a bit). Except the Turrets (or whatever machinery he can make) replace the Spirits from the Ritualist. InfestedHydralisk 00:16, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
I was also think this looked like an engineer type profession, though occasionally it also looks like some kind of calvary unit 174.17.5.167 17:45, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
