Combined the best (IMO) of both worlds. Feel free to call me a copycat. EiveTalk 05:29, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Needs logo. I myself am averted from the flamboyance of the orange...but thats just me being gothic and thinking everything should be dark. But personally, I do prefer mine...no offense intended to either of you, nor do I wish to seem like a narcissist...I just really dont like the bright in your face halloween ness that this one gives... Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 05:33, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
And I'm strongly against using GWW/GW(1) images...as I've said before, we're a new wiki for a new game, we can be original. Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 05:36, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
I was going to make it darker, but I wanted to see how this looked before trying that out. And I only used the moon image because I needed something besides the orange to actually show that this is a specific Halloween page, and not just how our wiki normally looks to a new member. Time to try for darker now... EiveTalk 05:49, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
IMO...wait until we have an actual GW2 halloween to use halloween images. If we must make it clear its a Halloween theme...hmmm...make the welcome thing like "Happy Halloween from GW2W!" And the purple/green and the orange clash...greatly... Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 05:53, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Out of those 6 options, my answer is: they are all far too color intense...we dont want new people getting migraines from the main page... Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 06:03, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

So hateful....Well, then (besides black) what colour would you suggest? I thought my previous orange wasn't too in-your-face but was too bright, and these colours are darker but pop out against the white BG. So I'm at an impasse with myself. EiveTalk 06:08, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
I sound like a narcissitic bitch (which is sadface)...but IMO the black and light text works better with the colors we want to use...And besides, all i really want to get done is a pass *some* Halloween design... Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 06:10, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
It's alright I appreciate the criticism. But I want to be different from yours, and if I use black, then I'll just be using yours. :P Oh well, I'll see if I can maybe find some miracle compromise tomorrow. EiveTalk 06:14, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Agreed, tis getting late...and Venom's input is semi essential... Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 06:15, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Out of all the preferred halloween colour choices, I prefer aqua's the best; however, the problem is this. The theme is dark and has a nice gothic feel to it, but there is no indication that it is actually meant as a halloween page. Enter catch 22, without traditional colours (orange and black) one would need images to convey its halloween theme, but if you insert images then you'd have to use GW1 images as there are none for GW2 yet. Enter my colour scheme. The very colours on the page scream traditional child's halloween (because when you grow up you start realizing there are more colours). The images can be axed, kinda pixelated (except for the moon). Maybe I'll go throw in those black images you made, actually that's a good idea. Sorry Eive, when I look at you page I think easter and not halloween. Although I do enjoy the symmetry of the character reveal images. well, I changed the images, but I didn't realize they were jpegs. So I had to change the background back to white, which isn't so bad, but brighter now. Check the revision for the grey. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 14:00, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Why does it need to be a child's halloween. We could convey the halloween feel with names (i.e. rename the category headers...such as "Gameplay" -> "Witchcraft" and "Lore" -> "Ghost Stories") I need help with the names if we want to do this...however, because otherwise it will be corny. Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 14:37, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

I agree with you guys, I really do. It's just that I want to convey the message of Halloween, and not just that we let a goth design the main page (sorry Aquadrizzt) So completely straight up black just rubs me the wrong way. Because it could easily confuse someone who doesn't frequent this wiki by making them think that that is our normal design, thus the need for something special to differentiate it. I do like the idea of changing the "Gameplay" and "Lore" names, but that was done on GWW, and wasn't the point to be unique/different? I hate conundrums. :( EiveTalk 15:28, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I didn't realize that on GWW they changed the names...hmmm Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 15:49, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Wait...what do you mean they changed the names...I do not see any significant name changes... Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 15:55, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Triple comment! oh btw...i made one with orange and black (see below the green and black one)...it doesnt conflict with the green (shockingly...I expected it to be a vile contrast...) Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 15:57, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
I don't know if GWW has done it for Halloween, but they've done it for WiK, so it still wouldn't be completely original. Not saying we can't do it, but no matter what we do, it's going to be very difficult to out-think the 5 year old wiki. And the new page looks nice. EiveTalk 16:17, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Norn Intro Snarl[edit]

WOW. The Dredge look really different. I kinda like 'em more this way. Zolann The IrreverentUser Zolann The Irreverent Mysterious Summoning Stone.png 23:12, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Me too. I can't stand the sounds they make though. If they stay that way I'll have to keep my comp muted the entire norn intro. EiveTalk 23:39, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Mmm, somewhat, although it's largely a matter of opinion. At least they don't look like Quasimodo anymore (Sorry Quas 8( ). Zolann The IrreverentUser Zolann The Irreverent Mysterious Summoning Stone.png 01:35, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
