The Thief[edit]
6/24/11 Or as I will call, "The Assassin", will be a pivotal role in GW2 PvP. With the information given, it is clear they are a major player in what I call, "situational control". By that I mean that with such (suspected) dps they can put out, they, with their snares, can push out a lot of pressure overtime on teams. If teams can't kite damage, they will take. If they get conditioned, they will take damage. If they can't move, they can't do damage. In a sense, the Assassin 2.0 will be a profession that when used correctly, will provide a lot of utility for teams. What I do question though, is the net damage they will do with the increases health and damage. I'm using GW logic to describe an entirely new game. Will the damage system be similar to Aion? It's really thought invoking to wonder what ANet has up their sleeves for Assassins 2.0.

MH: Sword OH: Dagger
Shadow Arts - take Cloak of Darkness, Sleight of Hand, Mechanically Inclined
Agility - take Superior Power, Major Precision, Major Precision
Main Hand Sword + Off Hand Dagger- Sword Mastery + Improved Dancing Daggers, Go for the Throat
The purpose of this build is essentially for movement control for primarily one person (Crip Slash + Dancing Dagger + Scorpion Wire) and possibly a short term control for a party of balled enemies (Dancing Dagger). While having theoretically higher damage with a Sword in your Main hand, and with your traits giving higher damage (From Sup Power) and with an additional crit chance from Major + Minor Precision, this build has the possibility for a balanced amount of damage for teamplay in 5v5/WvWvW. With strong utility from Cloak & Dagger (The possibility of good this skill is literally endless) this sin can be in and out of clutch situations that can prove deadly.

- Scorpion Wire + Rending Slash (ESPECIALLY FOR 5v5. UGH THIS COULD BE GAME CHANGING, IT'S SO HELPFUL FOR TEAMS WITH BIG DAMAGES!)
- Cloak and Dagger + Withdraw < - Especially for general evasion of pressure from physicals.

- With Agility, it should be noted that I expect that this, or some close alternative will become meta sometime in the game. Also, need more general traits for Shadow Arts please.
