Administrators are users who help to ensure the Guild Wars 2 Wiki documents the game without problems. Currently, they are Guild Wars Wiki and GuildWiki users who have garnered support on those wikis to use administrative tools.
Sysops[edit]
Sysops are users who have the tools to block/unblock IP addresses and registered users, delete/undelete pages and protect/unprotect pages. With CheckUser, they are able to view contributors' IP addresses.
Bureaucrats[edit]
Bureaucrats are sysops with additional tools to modify user rights: these include changing users to sysops, bureaucrats or bots (and vice versa). They can also merge contributions from multiple accounts.
Pling's explanation[edit]
This documents the wiki's state currently and since its inception. It would be a fruitless task to attempt to explain how the future should work in such a documentation. Instead, when that future becomes the present, we can discuss and make decisions, and, if they work, document the process and outcome.
Essentially, I'd like a system that comes up with something like Guild Wars 2 Wiki:References. It was created because a particular tried-and-tested system of referencing became more consistent and effective than others.
