Talk:Trade Cache

Although this is not about this page itself, it is about all the individual Trade Cache pages, so I figured a good centralised place to adress this would be here. Most of the drop information on the trade caches are based on the beta and is now no longer representational for the actual drops. I'm getting the feeling that the House of Daoud caches for example no longer drop T6 materials, but I might just be unlucky... Can we start over with the drop amount data or request confirmation of some of the info on the pages in some organised manner? If we leave, say, the (1-8) on Elder Wood Logs and all the drops are between 1 and 4, you might just be unlucky, but it does not disprove the 1-8. I think it would be best to start over somehow, but I'd like some input or ideas from people who have been around here longer on how to best do this before I just remove all the data.

EDIT: I also believe the trophy caches only drop 1-2 of tiers 2-5 materials. I have made a round changing the fact that the caches have 3 drops at a time to 2, which seemed fairly obvious. One page stated 2-3, but that would be another part of the above problem. --Zkarts (talk) 00:16, 27 September 2017 (UTC)

As someone who was one of the few people inputting drop amounts based on the beta, I agree. It's plain to see that the drop rates have changed across many if not all crates. As such, I feel that all of the crates should have their amounts overwritten with new data based on observations from the actual launch and not the beta. Sythe 03:37, 27 September 2017 (UTC)

I've done a run through all the pages to reset the data and add what I got from the crates I still had. So now the pages are no longer incorrect, but they still need the data :) --Zkarts (talk) 00:22, 28 September 2017 (UTC)

I don't know where you'd want to put this, but when you're opening the Trade Caches in the world, it is possible to get 1, 3 or 10 total material crates. 10 seems to be very rare as I've only ever gotten that once. Khani (talk) 15:17, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

The only hesitation with doing something with that info is that I can't confirm it with 100% certainty for each and every dropped chest, but I'm pretty sure they all have a chance to drop 1, 3 or 10 of the crates. This seemed most appropriate on the individual Trade Cache pages, but now that the reward chests have been added to this page as well, it may be good to put a note on that here too. I'm also not sure about the Trade Contracts dropping from the caches anymore, that may be a thing from the beta as well. And a last note I think might be interesting is a little rule-of-thumb I use, although the trophy and ingot caches don't adhere to it, is that Hamaseen generally has tier 1-2, Cowrie League has t3-4 and House of Daoud is tier 5-6. I have not seen any trade contracts drop from any of the trade caches, but I've opened less than 100 total so far. I think that was a beta only thing. Khani (talk) 03:15, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Daily reset? Account-wide or character specific? Does each map instance have their own set?

When do Trade Caches "respawn" on a map? Does opening them in one map instance "remove" one from all other map instances as well? Does each character have their own set of Trade Caches to open? --175.156.243.239 01:18, 2 November 2017 (UTC)

"Today's Trade Crates" - are they on a fixed rotation that can be predicted?

Does each Heart vendor have their own separate set of Trade Crates? How is the set determined each day? --175.156.243.239 17:39, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

I rechecked maybe a dozen heart vendors in the Crystal Desert and didn't find a single one where the "Today's Trade Crates" differed from the ones listed on the wiki pages. It appears that the content of this inventory tab is fixed and predetermined for each NPC. --Blackice (talk) 18:57, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

The wiki says that Mehmet in the Lily of the Elon has the Cowrie League chests but for three days in a row now he's had the Hamaseen chests instead. I'm going to check some of the hearts in the Crystal Oasis to see what they have. June 24, 2019

Cache locations and crate numbers fixed and shareable between players?

If I find a cache that gives me let's say 10 crates at once, could I call it out to other players for their information, or do they get their own locations and/or their own crate numbers per cache? --92.218.160.63 22:28, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
