The note is a bit misleading. Jeweled patches require only Obsidian Shards and the HoT map specific (excluding DS) Ascended crafting materials. The cost associated with crafting them is minimal but there is a time component for gathering those materials. --174.127.245.29 20:29, 1 December 2017 (UTC)

The Obsidian Shards for a full set of 6 costs 945k karma, half that + 11k HoT currency or 22k bandit crests, 450 laurels, or a bunch of other expensive means of getting them.
