Profession, Skills?[edit]
What are these things? One single volley of their green-cloud skill that sounds like a machine gun drops my health by half (level 80 mesmer with traits at 20,20,15,15,0, including defensive). I wish I had their skill. As a light-armored profession, all I can do to survive is take out one at a time with the help of clones and run like hell before I'm turned into mincemeat. Are they cheating with a monster-only skill? Morgaine 20:59, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- And of course, half the time the kite has to be repeated because they regen to full health in 5 seconds with the totally broken turn-away-and-regen mechanic. Morgaine 21:20, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- NPCs don't have professions, and you can check what skills they use by turning something on in your chat log, I forget what it's called. All enemies use monster-specific skills, or at least special versions of human skills, although little of this has been documented. Manifold 21:47, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Ah yes, the Combat checkbox in chat tab headings, I knew about it but in the panic of trying to survive the machine-gunning by green clouds I really didn't have time to look there. Thanks for the advice about foe professions, or lack thereof in GW2. That's a pity, as it means more foes will cheat compared to GW1. Morgaine 21:57, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- The nasty skill in question is [[Flurry of Bites]]. Lot of work ahead of us to document foes and their skills. Morgaine 19:42, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
