Drop research added by Tellsarius 100 Rabid Draconic Boots (lv 80 exotic) result in 298 "Research Notes" and 2 "Piles of Research"

Does anyone know if using this to salvage ascended equipment recovers the infusions and sigils/runes, as the normal ascended salvage tool does? --Wookins (talk) 00:31, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

It does not. It destroys upgrades. I just tried it on an ascended dagger with a sigil of smoldering on it and it gave the 2x 100 Notes, and nothing else, the sigil was destroyed. Aerulight (talk) 07:45, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

Ascended armor salvage: Helmet - 2R/10M, Shoulder - 2R/11M, Chest - 2R/3M, Gloves - 2R/14M, Leggings - 2R/11M, Boots - 2R/11M. I'm adding the Masterwork drops from ascended gear to the main page, as it's missing (and quite significant too; usually, it's more than 50% of the gained research notes) Endrosz (talk) 11:40, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Ascended weapons salvage: 2R/8F, 2R/9F, 2R/8F, 2R/9F. Surprisingly, weapons drop lesser rarity research notes, so the average is 240-250, while for armor, average is 400+. Endrosz (talk) 11:59, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Does the free acquisition apply to level 80 characters only?
