Theses things are bad. They are rewarded to you at a time (area level) that the harvesting will mostly fail. And I am behind in levels, so the harvesting tool should be taking care of business for the given time it is rewarded.

This is less than a Darksteel Harvesting Sickle for sure, since I cannot harvest Portobello Mushroom with it. Everything lower than a Portobello Mushroom I've tried it with worked however. Iron Harvesting Sickle nodes definitely work.

All of the Master X tools come in at least three different levels of quality. The first two are junk; don't use them unless you really don't care whether you get the node or not. The final one that you get late in the game should work on everything. Vili 点 15:27, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

No, they look exactly the same, have the same number of uses, etc. It's up to the player to guess when they picked it up in the storyline. Vili 点 10:00, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

I think it's overgenerous to call this merely an anomaly. Since all other tools indicate their strength so that you cannot accidentally ruin a valuable harvest, I would consider this a bug of omission, and report it as a bug. I doubt that the devs intended to make these Master X tools deliberately confusing. Morgaine 17:10, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
