bug: if you kill rediarr in the event too fast, explorer rivera will have a [merchant] tag next to his name, and the coin icon over his head as if he were a merchant, but he will fail to sell items to you, instead he will give you the dialogue: "Looking for the Durmand Priory? Just follow this road across the bridge and up the hill. If the Priory scholars seem cranky, that's normal.
