I don't think this comment is true "This recipe requires an unmodified level 80 variant." I think you can just buy the torch off the tp and it will still work. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.222.210.145 (talk) at 17:19, 16 February 2017‎ (UTC).

Because there are four different variants of the Etched Wartorch, we want to make it clear to the players that only the level 80 one can be crafted into a Corrupted Wartorch, and it cannot have been modified. We don't want people buying the other variants and being confused about why they're not working (which I've done). G R E E N E R 18:19, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
