Bug[edit]

This trait seems to be not working at all at this moment. -- Sagi User Sagittario Asura symbol.png 15:13, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

It works for most skills, but it doesn't change the targetting circle. Try Unsteady Ground and you'll see the difference clearly. 192.168.104.83 14:57, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
The outline perimeter of Unsteady Ground is the same with and without this trait. What you're noticing is perhaps the difference between the size of the area-of-effect while targeting and the actual AOE while the spell is in effect on the ground; that difference exists even with the basic form of the spell. Also evidently the spell on your bar does not change when you add or remove this trait, which is not the case with other staff AOE abilities (except Meteor Shower which I believe is another ability not affected by the trait). To exemplify this point: try casting Healing Rain without the trait and then quickly pick up the trait. You can see the cooldown has reset. Cast Healing Rain again and then remove the trait. You can now see that the cooldown has gotten shorter and if you continue to hop between having an not having the trait you can see that the game treats those as two different abilities and keeps separated cooldowns.
From what I have tested both the AOE while targeting and the AOE in effect benefit in size from this trait; I'm editing to reflect that as I don't see any evidence suggesting otherwise. --Creamcheese 14:21, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Lightning Surge[edit]

In the update notes it says "Lightning Surge: This skill no longer has infinite range and cannot fire at targets behind the player. It also is properly affected by line of sight and works with the Arcana trait Blasting Staff." so my question is: how does Blasting Staff affect Lightning Surge? Not sure how big the blast is exactly but lightning surge often hits several mobs if they're tightly grouped together. I guess that qualifies as an AOE for blasting staff. 125.237.189.187 09:15, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
Lightning Surge has a radius of 120 units normally. Although not stated, Blasting Staff increases its radius to seemingly 240 (similiar to Static Field there). Mediggo 09:52, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
