Talk:Altruistic Healing
Will "Pure of Voice" trigger this? Since the description of "Pure of Voice" states that it will CONVERT conditions into boons. Is that equal to applying a boon or something completely different? Twiadpaws 21:54, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Knows anybody some numbers of the healing ? Something like it heals per boon 425... or something ? ... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.171.210.8 (talk • contribs) at 09:37, 23 August 2012 (UTC).
- I wanted to see what kind of healing it would give so I tried it when I reached lvl 80. It looked like it was healing for just over 61 health per boon, however I don't know how my stats might have affected those numbers but it gives you some idea. Unless your using symbols I don't think it's worth it. My plan was to use it in conjunction with shouts for spam boon application but the result was really lackluster. I got better healing from the Monk's Focus trait instead. 71.35.151.179 14:05, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- You should realize however that this trait is more for a tankish playstyle. The more ppl are affected the higher the heal you get, this really can keep you up pretty high when you use your Virtues often and have the trait Inspired Virtue toghether with the Elite Renewed Focus or something else that resets their cooldown. - I do realize what your saying and agree with you (I've already tried that combination of traits and skills before), however I want to emphesize that this trait will by all means not save you in tight spots. I want to make that clear so that people don't get the wrong impression that if they use this trait that they become a super healed tank or anything. On guild wars guru a user determined that even with a healing stat of (i think) 1400 they were only healing for about 80 health per boon applied. In solo play or with sparse teammates this can be very underpowered and If you decide to go this route then it appears that in order to get the most out of it, to make it decently playable, it has to be all or nothing in your build. Meanining that you must use symbols as the foundation and basis of your build along with the other many boon applying skills and traits that the Guardian has to offer to be the most effective. Otherwise I have found that for solo play Monks focus is generally more usefull. With monks focus and meditation mastery the skill smite condition currently heals me for just barely under 2000 health at lvl 80 every 16 sesonds and removes a condition, not to mention the aoe damage. TLDR: Just remember that this trait is primarily designed for use in groups not solo play. 130.76.32.215 05:22, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Also the main page for this trait use to say in the notes that "Only triggers once if multiple boons are applied by the same skill at the same time." Is that still the case or has that been adjusted to apply healing for all boon applied regardless of whether or not they were applied at the same time? 130.76.32.215 05:22, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
- From what i saw it heals me twice every time i, let's say, use Virtue of Justice with Inspired Virtue skilled. Lou Wolfskin 07:14, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Does anyone know if altruistic healing heals nearby allies as well, or just yourself? SuPeR NooB 01:47, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- It only heals yourself. Lou Wolfskin 04:57, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
Will this Trait trigger when you gain Boons from Sigil and Rune effects?[edit]
For example, if my armor set (or that of a nearby ally) has 6 Superior Runes of the Pack? Or my weapon has a Superior Sigil of Strength? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 218.186.18.236 (talk) at 10:31, 14 January 2013 (UTC).
- yes it will. running with sigill of streght and its very nice Skagzilla 19:06, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
Wrong formula[edit]
I get 78 per hit with 450 HP - that should be 73.5 87.195.101.155 15:58, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Alrighty, it looks like the formula is right for PVP but there's a different one for PVE. I get 77 with 400 in pve, 79 with 555, 599 and 630 (confusing) 82 with 779. This looks like it starts off at 0.02 but drops off to 0.016[..] after a while... Someone with more pve gear could test it better. 87.195.101.155 16:53, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Never mind. I'm an idiot :P The 6% healing bonus from wvw accounts for the confusing results and the increase. My bad. 87.195.101.155 16:56, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Not sure who changed the coefficient to .03, but it is still .01 I just tested this myself in the mists. I changed the page accordingly 69.139.110.193 17:54, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

Feedback 2016/11/17[edit]
The Weapon List lacks the Dragonhunter's Longbow (Symbol of Energy applies Vigor, means it can also benefit from this heal) --Xenreas (talk) 08:55, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
- Added Longbow's Symbol of Energy. Note that it is limited to 4 ticks even though the attack itself pulses 5 times. --ProtoMarcus
