Talk:Adventurer's Scarf (medium)

From Guild Wars 2 Wiki

I tried making the Adventurers Mantle but the Adv. Scarf is Tailer material not Leatherworkers, so only the Adv. Spectacles and the Hardened Helmet strap and Padding came up in Discovery mode. any idea on what to do? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stinkerbug.4310 (talk).

You have the light version of the scarf. Buy the medium version from the TP. --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 16:53, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

Both account-bound and non[edit]

There are both account-bound and non-account-bound versions of these. That should probably be noted, since the AB ones are far preferable to use in the recipes.

My problem is that I don't know where I got them. Perhaps they are old ones? Or, maybe from storyline?

Anyhow, if someone can explain how they exist, I'll write up a note to explain (on all six pages). Daddicus (talk) 21:46, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

Unlocking the skin makes it account bound. Maybe you unlocked it but forgot? --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 15:44, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
I think that's it. I asked the same question on the forums, and that was my conclusion there. I've added a note to the six pages to that effect. Daddicus (talk) 00:52, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
To be honest, I don't think the note is necessary. ALL tradable items that have their skin unlocked become account bound (or soulbound if equipped) and are still usable in the forge. These items aren't an exception that requires a note. --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 02:40, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
Other opinions? I'm inclined to keep it because of the special nature of these six items. However, I don't think soulbound items are the same as account-bound for this purpose. SB items must stay on that character, whereas the AB ones can be shifted. If someone SBs one, the only way to forge it is for that same character to get the matching item.
