Solo completion of Friendly Fire mastery point in the Fireheart Rise Dragon Response Mission[edit]

I completed this mastery point solo as a Heal Scourge. It took three tries total, but really just one solid try when I optimized my strategy. You could probably do it on other heal classes as long as they can pump huge regen.

  • Skills/Build: Generic Heal Scourge traits / Serpent Siphon and Desiccate and Signet of Spite utility skills.
  • Equipment: 80% Magi Stats for huge heal power with some Harrier's mixed in.
  • Weapon: Staff + Sigil of Transference + Sigil of Water.
  • Consumables: Delicious Rice Balls (+10% heal/ +100 healing power) and Bountiful Maintenance Oil (big +X% heal).

The consumables and sigil of transference have a really important synergy (stacking +X% heals) to pump monster regen numbers.

Strategy:

  1. Start with a DPS build until you get to the defending phase.
  2. Upon loading in, activate the challenge at Veadh: "Recall the Order of Whispers infiltrators. (Strengthens enemies.)" to get achievement eligibility effect.
  3. Choose the Flame Legion Shamans as your allies at the other NPC.
  4. During the 5 minute prep countdown, the west side of the fortress near Efram Greetsglory has infinite spawns to easily kill 50 for morale stat boost.
  5. Use DPS build during escort. Deaths of legionnaires during escort don't disqualify you, thankfully.
  6. Switch to heal build at the defending point. An important benchmark is seeing 500+ hp per regen tick if you stacked consumables and sigil of transference and magi stats.
  7. Stay in staff and just dump all your skills and heals on the ball of NPCs, trying to maintain regen with Well of Blood and Serpent Siphon, and barrier layer.
  8. The Flame Effigies and legionnaires should form a mobile clump that is easy to heal and do monster damage if you use Dessicate to give fury+might and spam all your barrier.

Some things I noticed during my first two failed runs: the default Kodan allies are useless, you need to choose Flame Shaman allies for the huge effigy NPCs that give DPS buff to everyone else. During my first two runs, we weren't killing fast enough and the legionnaires spread out and that's when they died. With effigies I noticed the NPCs clustered tighter because they killed faster and chased after the few remaining foes and were therefore easier to heal/buff.

Good luck. ~ JujipooUser Jujin Jujinicon.jpg just may eat you 12:40, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
