Deadline[edit]
I would like to start making policies into actual policies and not drafts. Would anyone object to keeping this a draft for ~1 week longer and if conversations are stopped by that time (or consensus reached) we will then move it into a true GW2W policy. I think a week is adequate time for all users to be given a chance to read it and enter their input. In the section about the sig image requiring a redirect, I felt that an alternative to this was to just have that image link directly to your page (this can avoid redirects if one wants to use the image later on). - I'd say 2 weeks. That should be plenty of time - for even those who are attending that in Germany can see this and participate after they get back and settled, etc. Ariyen 01:10, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- I object unquestionably to any deadline being set up for policy approval. A policy is made, if policy must be made, by its quality, not an arbitrary deadline. pling 14:17, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- Well, we need policies and we have lack of participation. Question: How do we solve this? I've noticed a policy or two with people talking and even questioning, but no one seemed for them. (I could be wrong. I have been before.) To me that's not inactive - it has no support and so why are ones like that here? Ariyen 19:36, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- While I partially agree with pling, I think a line needs to be drawn. This policy in particular has been a draft for almost a full year (2 days shy). It was proposed and the wiki community has had 363 days to grow. Now it should be time to discuss this policy (I know the word sounds harsh) in regards to where this community has been and what may need to be amended. Venom20 19:50, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
