Guild Wars 2 Wiki talk:Arbitration policy

It's unnecessary. Again, as I've said before, we need to create policy in some logical order. There is no point creating an arbitration policy when we don't even know how administrators will work. We don't know whether there will even be an arbitration committee. We don't even know whether we will even have any policy at all from the beginning, or just wait until it's necessary.

Figure out the stuff that's needed right now (or when the beta opens) -- policy, content, admin/user behaviour. I don't see why this is needed at this moment in time when nothing else has been decided.--User Pling sig.png pling | ggggg 16:47, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Shameless plug, I know, but [[User:Plingggggg/Checklist|here's]] how I think things should be done. --User Pling sig.png pling | ggggg 16:50, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
That is why it is a draft, I didnt up and make it a proposal because I have no idea if there will be ArbComm or not. If we don't have ArbComm then this can be deleted, but if we do then this is here and we don't have to worry about making up a new one. It is here just incase, it will not become a proposal until after we have an accepted adminship policy (if it has ArbComm). I am just preparing this wiki for what might be coming, so that is what this is for. No worries :) --Shadowphoenix Please, talk to me; I'm so lonley ;-; 17:11, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Creating a policy -- whether it is a draft, proposal or written on the back of a napkin -- is not "just in case" or for "what might be coming". Policy is to tell people what the wiki is and how it works. There's no point creating so many drafts for policies for the sake of it when we don't even need it. To be honest, we don't even need anything now except a core policy draft that says how policy will work (and copyright details, that sort of thing). Once that's in place, then we should be creating what we think is necessary and obligatory to this wiki and how it works. I'm not directing this at you, SP, it's more of just my opinion on policy. Create things when it's needed, not for the sake of creating policy. --User Pling sig.png pling | ggggg 17:17, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I don't agree with you (I think that we should start building this wiki as fast a possible since the beta is getting close); bu tu are entitled to ur opinion on the subject and I respect that. --Shadowphoenix Please, talk to me; I'm so lonley ;-; 17:24, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
