When I was younger, I watched my parents killed by the Mordant Crescent. My brother and I hid under the floorboards and managed to escape before they lit our home on fire.

That's awful. I'm so sorry.

I was told to "stay strong for your brother." I never got a chance to grieve. But we survived. Now, we both have lives of our own. My brother is a merchant in Amnoon. My family is here.

How are you coping?

It's hard. To live through so much, I should appreciate everything I have. I hide my feelings from my loved ones. I don't want them to carry the burden I do.
