This irritates me =/[edit]

I know that m means it's a minor edit, and I know that b means bot. How do I make that irritating dotted red line go away? --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 19:49, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Via Poke. pling User Pling sig.png 20:34, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
Never mind that. He removed the dotted lines for everyone in the global css. pling User Pling sig.png 20:48, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
Seems to only have worked for the list and not the legend (where it explains exactly what the red dotted line mouseover says), but it's better than nothing. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 22:04, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
If you want to remove the legend entirely, add what I removed here to your .css. pling User Pling sig.png 22:06, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
Cool, thank you. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 22:34, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
And uhm...how do I do it on contributions pages? --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 02:23, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

This mesmer thing[edit]

just keeps getting better and better. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 22:46, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Margonites and capitalization[edit]

Races are capitalized. Nationalities and groups are not. Margonite is a (former) human nationality - akin to Orrian, Ascalonian, Druid, Kurzick, etc. Post transformation, their species "becomes" demon - Margonite is both a nationality of human, and a kind/group/nationality(?) of demon. -- Konig/talk 13:01, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

I think you mean "races are not capitalised" and "nationalities and groups are" :P pling User Pling sig.png 14:30, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I did. I was still very sleepy. Shush. -- Konig/talk 18:12, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
A'ight, that explains it. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 03:15, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Mesmer speculation[edit]

moved from Talk:Mesmer

I really hope the last profession isn't mesmer, just so I can laugh at the people saying it's "confirmed".--Gerroh 04:16, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Might I point out that:

The Elementalist, Warrior, Ranger, and Necromancer, all returning professions, were all released early on, and are all basically just GW2 conversions of their GW1 counterparts.
The Guardian, which I consider to be a glorified 55monk build, came next, followed by the heavily modified Assassin-now called the Thief, and then the new Engineer.
Point being?
A GW2 conversion of GW1's Mesmer should've been released long ago. (prior to the new professions)
Which almost guarantees that the last profession won't be called a Mesmer.
Whatever the last profession is, even a Mesmer clone, will be far more complex, and different, than anything we've seen to date.--Warzog Watch your six! 22:19, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
The last profession has been confirmed to be a returning profession, not a renamed or new one.
Regardless, please let this clearly speculative discussion die or move it to a user page, or it will be moved anyway. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 23:04, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
Since several aspects of the game have been changed, reworked, redone, etc, is it not possible that that old list of "reveal overviews" could also have been reworked? Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 23:44, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
Always possible before release but still not relevant to speculate about it here. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 01:09, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
What part of confirmed doesn't click in your brain? --Briar User Briar Ahoy.JPGAHOY! 01:19, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
It's happened before, people have different understandings of the term confirmed. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 01:39, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

"The last profession has been confirmed to be a returning profession, not a renamed or new one." Clearly they're bringing back the Dervish.--Gerroh 02:14, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

just as the assassin could not be called such because of it being from Cantha, the last profession can not be the Dervish as it is from Elona. Mesmer is the only other option.
Every time I see this in RC, I cringe. Anywho, someone move this please, as I forgot where misplaced discussions is. -User Eive Windgrace Harbinger of the Deceiver.png 02:24, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Talk:Professions reveal/Misplaced discussions it's there Eive and I'd move it but then I'd have to move like 90% of this talk page too. --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 08:30, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Mesmer could be an Aristocrat(D&D)-like prof, which is npc only, I don't get how Anet could make that work, but they definitely could try. So it is not confirmed, but it is highly plausible.--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 08:51, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
and I thought the speculations finally cooled down.. --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 08:57, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Moved this here since it's not clear exactly who started the speculation earlier. Continue here if you want. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 13:48, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Stop reducing available information[edit]

Stop going around making pages smaller. You took out information that would make choosing asura collage easier for people. We need more information not less. Ramei Arashi

Kyoshi was paraphrasing a copy paste from the official site into a much more readable format. The reductions took away little actual substance yet removed a great deal of fluff and unnecessary miscellanea. Aqua (T|C) 00:51, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
Per Aqua; when ANet is advertising the game, they tell stories with exciting trivial details that draw the reader in. When people look at the wiki, they want information quickly and to-the-point. I fail to see how the "equivalent" real world engineers for each asuran college will help a player decide any better than explaining exactly what they do, or how they think. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 21:32, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
