Span tag

Is the tag <span></span> required? If it's done correctly, see [1], using outrotemplate = Table footer it creates sometimes some wierd spacing in the last row on the last entry. See for example Template:Sigil table, the last entry on the last row is moved up a bit. Without the span tags, either with or without a line break it looks fine for me. --Tolkyria (talk) 16:17, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

It's a legacy thing before you told us about outrotemplate/introtemplate. Change and remove as you see fit. -Chieftain Alex 16:35, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

I removed it. Even with outro = {{Table footer}} the wierd spacings occured and also the span-less template works with outro.

During checking if I break something, I found this: Vendor table (2016); so it shouldn't be new to you :-) --Tolkyria (talk) 16:57, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
