Broken?[edit]

So this is currently reporting that Keg Brawl is the active activity, however in game right now I am looking at the NPC with Southsun Survival on. Not sure how to fix this on the coding side of things. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 09:20, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

Modified the offset value, assuming the overall rotation is the same. Check back tomorrow and let us know if it's wrong again, they may have changed the rotation completely. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:46, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
Shown by template: Southsun Survival. Ingame: Crab Toss. The last few days were also wrong, but I can't remember what was active when anymore. I'll try to remember to document the rotation from now on, until we got enough data. --aRTy 19:47, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
7th: Wasnt ingame.
8th: Southsun Survival.
9th: Crab Toss. --aRTy 00:32, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
I suspect they've modified the rotation so that it goes by day-of-week, instead of day-of-month, in which case we'll need to do more than just update the offset. Try to remember to record the activities around the end of this month/beginning of next month. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 01:09, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
Looks like it's broken again. Todays activity is Sanctum Sprint, Template says Keg Brawl. -Asuaka (talk) 08:36, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
There. Fill it in over the next few days. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:04, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
Broken again. Also posted this on the activity page sorry. Ikarus (talk) 09:01, 18 March 2015 (UTC)

Incorrect activities[edit]

Ok so we've had a few users editing the template pretty regularly to reflect what is really occuring ingame.. I assume the template isn't coded correctly so I'm going to record the current activity here. Feel free to add what you see. Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 15:28, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Just added todays. I dont understand the coding, but is it fairly easy just to do a day of week check and set it to one of these table values? I know sundays are keg brawl. A Liability (talk) 08:48, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
ok ishmael is right. The curent day template / whatever is keyed to the day of the month, not the day of the week. I'll try looking for a day of the week code to replace. A Liability (talk) 09:00, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
ok took me a bit, replace magic word with currentdow from currentday, also took out +1 as you dont need it anymore. Also fixed array. Ill check in later to make sure it works. A Liability (talk) 09:21, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Nicely done.
I've then edited the template a bit further to remove the expression {{#expr: ... }} bit since CURRENTDOW can't exceed 6 it will never need the "mod 7" bit. It now uses the day of the week. Use of CURRENTDAY ties in with the data from the section above too. (added to table) -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 09:43, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Date Day of week Activity
13 September 2014 Saturday Southsun Survival
08 October 2014 Wednesday Southsun Survival
09 October 2014 Thursday Crab Toss
10 October 2014 Friday Sanctum Sprint
11 October 2014 Saturday Southsun Survival
19 October 2014 Sunday Keg Brawl
14 January 2015 Wednesday Southsun Survival
15 January 2015 Thursday Crab Toss
16 January 2015 Friday Sanctum Sprint
...meanwhile back in June 2015...
08 June 2015 Monday Crab Toss
09 June 2015 Tuesday Sanctum Sprint
10 June 2015 Wednesday Southsun Survival
11 June 2015 Thursday Crab Toss

Possible new format[edit]

Day of week Activity
Monday Crab Toss
Tuesday Sanctum Sprint
Wednesday Southsun Survival
Thursday Crab Toss
Friday Sanctum Sprint
Saturday Southsun Survival
Sunday Keg Brawl

Maybe more obvious that it repeats each week? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 10:12, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

I think thats a good idea, it gives a visual representation, and at least if the cache is stuck o your computer you can see what it is supposed to be. the only other thing I'd want to also include is a timer in relation to UTC or a reminder that it is based on UTC / GMT.A Liability (talk) 00:47, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
