Talk:Upgrade Extractor

So... is there a scenario in which it would be cheaper to get this ranther than to buy another of whatever upgrade it is off the TP? xD 38.108.156.123 23:57, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Depends on how expensive the upgrade is. If its something like sigil of generosity, rune of divinity, or superior sigil of bloodlust, then I think maybe. All of those are over 10gp as I recall. How many gp does 250 gems run? Psycho Robot (talk) 23:59, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
I think generally above that, probably on average about 6g per 100 gems, probably more. Right now 100 gems cost above 7g. Though one way for this to be cost-effcient is for this to be available through dailies or BL chests. Granted if you these in bulk per 25 you're probably saving in the long run if you deal in expensive upgrades a lot, but it'd take a while to recoup the costs. 38.108.156.123 21:39, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
Dulfy's site seems to confirm these also work for infusions sooo....that's the dealbreaker on this one. PalkiaX50 (talk) 22:00, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

multiple upgrades?[edit]

Does this item take out just one or can it take out all upgrades, say 2 sigils from a weapon? ~Panzerov

I don't know, apparently the Black Lion Salvage Kit does (breaks the weapon though), but, while I would expect that this item would behave in the same way, this item doesn't destroy the weapons it may only give you one of the sigils and leave the other one attached, forcing you to use it twice. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 13:22, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
Like Alex, I've never used one of these, but removing both sigils from a two-handed weapon wouldn't be fair versus using it on any other item. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:53, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
I just used one of these to pull a sigil of generosity out of my legendary. It also pulled out both infusions. Be aware, all the byproducts will be account bound (this includes the sigil!). In a word, unless you really want that expensive sigil on another character, these are worthless. 76.29.242.74 00:33, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
You can't even sell them after extracting them? What a joke! 108.86.0.15 00:47, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
I put the sigil into a random level 80 green loot and was able to salvage it with a black lion kit to remove account-bound status. They haven't patched that one yet, as of 5/12/2014. 76.29.242.74 00:57, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Feedback 2016/06/08[edit]

Assassin0.9367 was able to confirm the queen bee does in fact revert to being unbound after using it to be removed not sure how to get ahold of anyone to update that. --73.73.209.12 23:43, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

I removed the whole note, thanks. -- Dagger (talk) 00:35, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
