Next time something like this should be in a regular rotation. :/ Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 11:04, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

13 possibilities don't lend themselves well to an hourly rotation given our 24-hour day. Besides, for players that only have an hour or two to play each day, it would totally suck for them if the invasions were always in the same places at those times every day. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:54, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
Can you fill out a prescription for Scarlet to go to the Iron Marches next Dr? ;) Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 13:13, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
Finally! 27 hours later... Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 16:55, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
Those two facts are actually what make it a good idea. If the 13 invasions did always go in a certain order, and you only had 2 hours to play every day, assuming it was the same 2 hours, you would get 2 new zones every day until you got all 13. It would also be predictable so if you miss a zone for whatever reason, you could plan when you can catch that zone on the weekend. - Tanetris (talk) 17:41, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

A work in progress for an active tracker is on my talk page. If someone can do something better with it, feel free to use it! Piccolopete (talk) 23:25, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Final day "predictions"[edit]

Someone on LA map chat suggested that some Anet person somewhere had said that if you play the same hour each day for the entire course of the event, you would get all 13 zones. Since we have this nice history, I thought I'd take a look at which hours of the day are missing which zones:

  • 00:00 Iron Marches
  • 01:00 Bloodtide Coast/Gendarran Fields/Harathi Hinterlands
  • 02:00 Fireheart Rise/Timberline Falls
  • 03:00 Fields of Ruin
  • 04:00 Dredgehaunt Cliffs
  • 05:00 Dredgehaunt Cliffs/Harathi Hinterlands
  • 06:00 Blazeridge Steppes/Timberline Falls
  • 07:00 Bloodtide Coast
  • 08:00 Fields of Ruin/Timberline Falls
  • 09:00 Lornar's Pass/Mount Maelstrom
  • 10:00 Sparkfly Fen/Timberline Falls
  • 11:00 Fields of Ruin/Timberline Falls
  • 12:00 Bloodtide Coast/Mount Maelstrom
  • 13:00 Iron Marches/Lornar's Pass
  • 14:00 Fireheart Rise/Gendarran Fields
  • 15:00 Dredgehaunt Cliffs
  • 16:00 Harathi Hinterlands
  • 17:00 Fireheart Rise
  • 18:00 Blazeridge Steppes/Bloodtide Coast
  • 19:00 Fireheart Rise
  • 20:00 All done
  • 21:00 All done
  • 22:00 Frostgorge Sound
  • 23:00 Bloodtide Coast/Iron Marches

There are three definite problems: 01:00 UTC, our history has only missed 1 day of it (the 31st), yet there are 3 missing, so even if the 31st was one of them and the upcoming day covers another, that leaves 1 zone that people playing that hour have missed out on. 14:00 UTC, our history has no missing days, yet there are two missing. 18:00 UTC similarly shows no missing days in history, yet two missing. Also 19:00 UTC better hope tomorrow's update doesn't come before then.

Obviously don't rely on this if you're looking for that one last zone tonight, but it's interesting, at least to me. - Tanetris (talk) 23:56, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Post Update of 06 September 2013[edit]

The "schedule" seems quite erratic now. I am guessing that not every invasion is being recorded here, either. I also wonder if the events recorded are from NA or EU regions. Do invasions happen at the same time in both regions? Should we note which region for recorded events? I've read that all Bosses must be cleared from a zone before Scarlet will invade; still, two times a day seems less than the frequency I'd expect. --Gold Recluse (talk) 05:42, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Just confirmed with Poke that they happen at the same time on both regions. He's on EU, I'm on NA, we both got the same message at the same time. - Tanetris (talk) 19:55, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

I just made something to record the invasions, it just takes less effort and should record every invasions. The time is +-5min since I check the API every 5 min. With this data we could make some stats/graphs but I don't have any idea for now except listing them. You can see it here : http://gw2.maximeloizeau.fr/history.html (sorry if I break something here, I'm not used to wiki) --Akyh (talk) 17:30, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

NP, Akyh, you're doing fine. Your site looks very good - does it record every invasion, whether recorded here or not?--Gold Recluse (talk) 21:04, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
Yes it records every invasion, I use the API so every 5 minutes I'm checking if there's an invasion in progress and if so I record the time and the map in a database. I don't use the data on the wiki. So with the 5 minutes "latency" the starting time is slightly different from the time it appears in game, it could be more precise but I don't know if it's useful. --Akyh (talk) 10:12, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
