Bug or feature? Numerous Branded Hydras i witnessed changed from Champion to Veteran in the exact moment they dropped their first head. Could it be a gag implemented by the developers? Anyone read sources on that? El Huhn (talk) 19:15, 1 January 2023 (UTC)

It started happening a few years into PoF and S4 (so not a launch 'feature') and I feel like if it were a feature it would be mentioned somewhere in patch notes or dev comments. ~Sime 22:52, 1 January 2023 (UTC)

Not saying you're wrong, but I feel different. That's why I asked in the first place. It's such a small detail, not necessarily worth a devs note or comment. Furthermore it would make sense, lore wise, to demote a 'Champion' to a lower Rank once it loses one head. A quick search on the official forums came up with nothing, sadly.
