Imo, Gunnar would have died by now... -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 22:58, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, 250 years tends to do that. Lord Belar 23:59, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Gunnar's Hold fell to monsters, so there would be no reason to rename it unless it was recaptured. -- Gordon Ecker 09:11, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh. Well that's just screaming for plot. -delete. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 09:56, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Norn race goal: Retake Gunnar's Hold. Just a hunch. Calor (t) 21:26, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
I think it mentions in the Movement of the World about how the Norn still let Charr move through there, inconsistant considering they no longer control it... I'll have to check that to make sure.
Weren't we told in Eye of the North that it was named after which ever Norn currently held it. Gunnar didn't actually create it he just claimed it. And it would have ceased to be Gunnar's Hold once he was dead, it would be renamed by each Norn who took control of it. So 250 years later it would not be Gunnar's Hold unless a new norn with same name was in charge. Ramei Arashi 13:41, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Yes, it was named after Gunnar Poundfist. Perhaps he did something in the last 250 years and they named the town permanently after him. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 14:01, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Unless Gunnar was the last norn to hold it. You know, since it is overrun with Jormag's creatures, no norn would be ruling over it now so that the name would change to the new norn. -- Konig/talk 17:22, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
That's a good point. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 17:27, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Typo(s)[edit]

I fixed a minor gramatical infraction(Arthurperson 20:20, 21 January 2008 (UTC))

what's the point?[edit]

why is this article here? its probably in ruins so it technically would probably be "ruins of gunnar's hold" so yeah. but im not gonna put the delete tag onArthurperson 14:48, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

That was my thought too. Read the first few lines on this page. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 18:30, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Nolani Academy is still called Nolani Academy in GW1 even though it is in ruins. Although at times it is also called ruins of Nolani. For a real life example: the ruins of ancient Rome is not called "ruins of <location>" but is simply called by the location name, think of Pompeii, hardly is it ever called "Ruins of Pompeii." Same goes for here - we use the former name, not "Ruins of." Things are usually only called ruins if something was built over them, or when referring them to ruins. We also don't know of the condition of the place, so it might not be in ruins anyways. -- Konig Des Todes 02:35, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Right; it's not too important to have the deletion tag on this page, as it's not something completely irrelevant like GW1 skills. A few other pages are questionable as well, and as more info comes in (and the books xD), we can start worrying about that.-- Shew 04:27, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Going to revive this. While I'm happy for the article to exist, I don't see why the place should be listed under Known settlements. It was crushed by a glacier. – NuclearDuckie 07:24, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Furthermore, it's off of the gw2 map. I'm tagging with the [[:Category:Articles possibly not relevant to GW2]]‏‎ category. -- Konig/talk 20:40, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Capitalisation[edit]

Elder Dragons are still capitalised, they are not affected by the new House of Style:
