Redirect[edit]

Do we really need all these redirects? --JonTheMon 01:16, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Yes. They're things that when typed in without any caps, don't take you to the page you're looking for. We have them on GW1 wiki, they've just been neglected on this wiki so far. I'm tired of having to look through search results every time I search for something by it's exact name, so I'm knocking out as many as I can think of off the top of my head. Remove bad advice?[edit]

Bad advise is rather subjective. I would agree that the original statement was written in a subjective tone. A better thing to do is edit the tip to make it less subjective. What was written was a valid way to get what was requested. Anzenketh (talk) 16:23, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

"Bad advice" is subjective to an extent, but saying that the "best" way to get a coarse sand is to purchase sandy bags of gear is incorrect. That's 15 bandit crests per 1-4 silky sand. Not only is silky sand very easy to acquire through opening chests, killing enemies, completing events, or doing the Maguuma Wastes PvP reward track, but everything that rewards bandit crests also rewards silky sand. This means that purchasing sandy bags of gear is objectively neither the fastest nor the cheapest way to acquire silky sand. User Kirbman signature.png talk 16:44, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
The better thing to do is remove the "best" wording. Some may have a ton of gold and bandit crests and be willing to put up the cost but not the time. Anzenketh (talk)
What's the point in leaving a tip that lists one inefficient way to acquire silky sand? Acquisition for piles of silky sand should be (and is) listed on the Pile of Silky Sand page. User Kirbman signature.png talk 16:59, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
I am not even sure if leaving tips for acquisition of items will even be left on the page. What is on the page and how it is formatted is currently in flux. You are correct Acquisition of items should be listed on the item page. As for it's inefficiency that is subjective and is dependent on various factors. On a more informal note. I don't necessarily disagree with you. Anzenketh (talk) 18:10, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
