This IP address cannot be forever linked to your account. One thing you can do, Sirrush, is use a shameless plug. G R E E N E R 19:13, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

He can temporarily link to his user page, though. Static IP's don't actually change a lot. Like mine has been the exact same for at least 2 years now. Totally legit, even Felix did it. - Infinite - talk 19:16, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
While I see that no policy has been set on GW2W concerning user-pages, had I tagged the page for deletion based on the GW1 user policy, namely "You must be registered to create a user page and your user page must be named the same as your login name". G R E E N E R 19:54, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I understand the reasoning, but keep in mind that GW2W is in no way related to consensus on GWW, which includes policies. In fact, GW2W has no policies at all. The fact that Sirrush, myself and Felix (as you may know, an admin) have all informed viewers of our IPs that they are currently tied to us is merely done to identify the IPs in general. Obviously the information will be removed the moment we lose these IPs. But to repeat a very important piece of information: "keep in mind that GW2W is in no way related to consensus on GWW, which includes policies". I hope it is clear now. - Infinite - talk 20:10, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
This is actually allowed, even on the GWW. There's even a template, create by Poke and Aberrant, that might be placed on talk pages. Chriskang 21:33, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Using a template makes far more sense than a redirect, and on GW1W it is only used on the talk pages, not the user pages. All that aside, I did point out that I saw there was no policy set for GW2W on the matter, and was explaining my previous rationale, be it substantial or not.
EDIT:Not sure how I missed the word "talk" in your statement Chriskang. Must be getting old. G R E E N E R 23:18, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I also disagree with a mere redirect, though I don't mind a (single) line of text explaining the current state of an IP on the user page for it. It's not like we're going to run out of space and it being a static IP, the current owner is responsible of looking after said IP if they made even a single edit with them and clearly stating it was them. And one line in your comment, being this; "I did point out that I saw there was no policy set for GW2W on the matter", implies to me you believe there will be policies set in any future. For the far future I can not elaborate, however in the nearby future, this is absolutely not the case. I think enough has been said on this talk page on the matter and I think a further discussion is better off elsewhere. - Infinite - talk 13:35, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
I should probably have paid attention to these pages, I'll put the template up. I check up on the IP I have every week or so and should it change, I'll obviously get rid of the template and put the pages up for deletion (although perhaps I could archive the talk page? I don't know). Initially, the only reason for redirecting was to identify myself as User:Sirrush whenever I forgot to log in. --SirrushUser Sirrush sig.jpg 16:55, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Archive on your user space, tbh. :) - Infinite - talk 21:24, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
