Because they had green nameplates, like allied NPCs, instead of the standard yellow nameplates for objects. —Dr Ishmael 13:32, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

And they could be harmed (albeit not in the "normal" way), which differs it from an object, which don't even have hp. --Ventriloquist 13:37, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
