1 question: Which ones are 1-slot skills? 89.75.129.15 15:24, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Skills in slot 1. The first weapon skill, for example, Double Strike. Mediggo 16:18, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
Lol I didn't even thought they meant FIRST slot... Thanks anyway. 89.75.129.15 18:19, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Initial Strike is bugged[edit]

After a lot of test (in the mist), it never works.

1.tried with and without Initial Strike, using skill 1, no any difference.
2.tried with and without Initial Strike, using main hand skill 2, no any difference.
3.tried with and without Initial Strike, using skill 3, no any difference.

Not bugged (in HotM at least)[edit]

Tested it out in Heart of the Mists at the northern DPS Trails location. Used a shortbow and ONLY this trait, armor effects, skills and minor triats are negligible for testing. It DOES work and appears to have NO COOLDOWN. Using Trick Shot from the shortbow, I was able to regenerate initiative for each shot consecutively. I haven't confirmed if it triggers on each bounce, but it has triggered on the first hit, second hit, and third hit across multiple shots (all three bounces didn't trigger the trait in one shot, shot 1 triggered on the first bounce, shot 2 triggered on the second bounce, etc. is what I'm trying to say)

Method of Test.1-Used Infiltrator's Arrow twice to drop my initiative from 15 to 3, auto-attacked the golems. Result: success.
Method of Test.2-Used Infiltrator's Arrow twice to drop my initiative from 15 to 3, manually aimed my camera and shot arrows at the golems without auto-attack. Result: success.

If this trait does have a cooldown, the value is close to the attack interval of Trick Shot. --Eclipse143 01:33, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Does in fact work in PvE as well. Tested in Cursed Shore against a Veteran. All armor effects, skills, and traits are negligible for testing.--Eclipse143 01:52, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

[edit]

This trait is currently bugged but only with dagger 1-slot skills. Sword, pistol, and shortbow 1-slot skills all work as intended. It's easy to test on the Lion's Arch dummies. Start autoattacking a dummy with a 1-slot skill and drain your initiative to 0 (time it with the 1-second interval of natural initiative regen). If your initiative fully replenishes in under 12 seconds, the trait works with that weapon (may take a few trials). In numerous trials, I have never had the dagger take less than the 12 seconds of natural initiative regen to fully replenish the bar.
