Feedback 2019/08/07[edit]

Ultimately I believe the people who support this wiki do a fantastic job. It is with that in mind that I give this negative feedback. This particular page regarding Incinerator II adds nothing. The only information on this page is ripped word for word from the achievement list in the game. A person who stumbles onto this page may learn something new, but a player who comes here directly is, in fact, wasting their time. The information that players like me want when they come to a wiki isn't a repeat of what comes from the game directly, though I understand the need to include it. What we come here for, what I come here for, are the reasons to do or not to do something, the "why." In addition to describing what an item is, there needs to be a description of what it does, and more importantly, why would a player want to do that, what is it's purpose. For example, take Basic Mithril Dagger Requisition. The key missing information is that you need 250 of them and they cost 5 mithril ingots each. You may believe that this info is a spoiler, so include it and tag it as such. If this kind of critical info is omitted for some other specific reason, let me just argue this: The info is out there, why make it hard to find? The wiki ought to be the first best source of all things GW2. Even if it's a link to another site, if for some reason you simply don't want it on your pages.

Thanks for your time and best wishes. I may be using a guest login, but my GW account is Gorkus.7496 (I understand I may have missed something, that does happen. So, I apologize if my criticism(s) is/are truly unfounded.) The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.199.110.88 (talk) at 22:04, 7 August 2019‎ (UTC).

No need to remove your valid feedback. The amount of clicks it takes to find the information you want is often criticized. You may have already found that items are normally linked to their own page which makes it easier to maintain a consistent wiki (not duplicating information). —Kvothe (talk) 22:55, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
