The achievement Master of the Unseen progresses when these are opened. The description of Master of the Unseen says, "Find and open hidden chests throughout Cantha." There are several kinds of hidden chests in the game, identified by a description in parenthesis. I suggest we change the title of this page from "Shrine Chest" to "Hidden Chest (Cantha)" to show the affiliation with Master of the Unseen and for the sake of uniformity with other Hidden Chests in the game. --PJ (talk) 19:43, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

That wouldnt work because you also have the Jade as hidden chests and notmal chests underwater that are also considered as hidden chests. The jade Bot sensor shows these 2 but not these shrine chests so they might now even count. They are called shrine chests (for now) because the first achievement calls these spirits "Shrine Guardians infants" --DiegoDeLaHouska (talk) 19:56, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Spiritual Childcare

The notes do mention that this item is also associated with the Spiritual Childcare achievement. Specifically the swirl indicator seems to have something to do with the Infant Guardian, and the things you do to make the Shrine Chest appear are the "play" required for this achievement. The actions required can be:

 -pick up a rock (optional to throw it)
 -pick up a nearby stick and wave it
 -pick up a nearby crate and stack it on other crates
 -run a "mini-race" following normal race orange flags in circles

There are many more. Some you need to interact with objects in the area in specific order. Behind the harbor you have a gardens. There are 3 trees that needs to be interacted with in the right order to gain this chest --DiegoDeLaHouska (talk) 20:24, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

That's my bad, I didn't notice it was called Glorious Canthan Chest before creating that page. The content of this page should be merged with Glorious Canthan Chest (loot table is still incomplete, mostly missing some equipment drops) --Arcky (talk) 09:14, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

Aren't there chests that are visibly named Glorious Canthan Chest? Are we so certain the drop tables are the same? For example, Branded Chest vs Glorious Branded Chest. Adeira Tasharo (talk) 20:48, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

Updated list of loot? 2023/06/28

I just got an ascended Coalforge's Weapon Chest from one today after the patch. I've never ever seen anything ascended drop from these before, and I've opened thousands of them. 83.249.177.18 22:21, 27 June 2023 (UTC)

Gratz! Basically, any chest or container that contains ascended material (Bloodstone, Emp.fragments, Dragonite) can drop an ascended box. ~Sime 23:23, 27 June 2023 (UTC)

Items for the Manifest weapons collections

From anecdotal experience, these seem to be guaranteed from the first "Move the Wooden Boxes" Puzzle chest opened? Myself and a friend both had this for all of the collections, which seems too reliable for it to be purely random. 82.15.97.231 23:20, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
