Why buy the recipe?

Seems like I can buy the Amalgamated Kryptis Essence right from Lyhr, or I can spend the exact same amount buying the RECIPE but then I have to spend again to make the actual item. And I don't see an advantage for having the recipe since crafting isn't "cheaper". Does someone know if there's a reason I'm not seeing to buy the recipe?--Justaplayer (talk) 14:37, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

Buying it from Lyhr costs you 10 more Globs of Ectoplasm than if you were to craft it yourself (50 vs 60). It might not look like a lot, but it adds up quickly if you need to craft multiple items. He actually takes more ecto than needed for recipes for almost every item he provides. ~Sime 15:01, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
