Serpent Vanguard
Serpent Vanguard is a plaque describing one of the many oversized twin-serpent statues found throughout Elona.
Commissioned for the joint coronation of Queen Dahlah and Queen Nahlah, the last rulers of the Primeval Dynasty. The sisters adopted twin cobras as the symbol of their reign, representing the duality of venom as a deadly poison and a powerful medicine.
Pairs of these large cast-metal sculptures were erected i ncities and villages that hosted the queens during their royal progress and scattered during the Scarab Plague. A discarded original design depicting a single cobra with two heads was not practical for rapid assembly.
