As in, the receiver can read the mail, but only take the items when they pay the fee for it. If not, the item gets sent back to the sender. I have no first-hand mailing experience to confirm or prove wrong, though. - Infinite - talk 18:14, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

Could you be more specific?

1 silver 71 copper is the cost of sending the message. The field the red arrow is pointing at is where you select how much money (if any) you are sending inside the message.
