So its English Based Kryta? --Neil2250 , The Zoologist User Neil2250 sig icon5.png 22:18, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes. :) You can see an English trend in Krytan Clothing, Krytan buildings, and Krytan social status (Gentry, for example, is an English term). So, if Kryta has an English base, what was Ascalon? --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 14:13, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Being english, yes this is very similar :P. Ascalon.. urhm, well their really weren't that many buildings in ascalon to tell which era it was based. Meh :P --User:Nautaut /(t) 14:24, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
I always assumed Ascalon was supposed to be Roman and Orr Arabian. Orr has a holy city, Middle-Eastern hierarchy (vizier for example), Mid-East clothing style and that accent, plus were a peninsula. Ascalon strikes me as very Roman from the way in which the cities are built/architecture (check out the miscellaneous aqueducts laying about such as in Reagent Valley near Fort Ranik) and how their society functions. Also note that all major roads lead back to Ascalon City at the foot of the Great Northern Wall. I'd say on that note the Charr are based off of the ancient Israelites with the modifier of "what if they had become the Mongolians" - their land was taken from them generations ago, so in the modern day there is a war being waged over their right to that land and in doing so they've relied both on large scale battle and small raids, and of course smashed down the Wall and razed the city of Ascalon.
