Jade Tech Waypoint is a mastery that allows the player to create a personal waypoint anywhere in the open world and return to it, like any other waypoint.

- It has some limitations:
- Setting the waypoint results in a cooldown of 600 seconds, allowing for another setup of the waypoint once this cooldown has completed.
- Using the waypoint resets the cooldown to 600 seconds, regardless of how much time remains from the initial cooldown from setting the waypoint.
- Only one can be active at a time, and if the player sets up another waypoint after the initial cooldown, the previously set waypoint will disappear.
- The set waypoint is a one-time use.
- The set waypoint disappears when changing maps.
- Not available in PvP, WvW or PvE instanced content, and attempts to set the waypoint will provide the error message "You cannot do that right now" while not putting the skill on recharge.
- Unlike other waypoints, the Jade Tech Waypoint allows for in combat use even while downed, and will sometimes ask in a dialog box if you want to "consume" the usage.
