PvP Reward Track.png PvP Reward Tracks is an account-wide Structured PvP rewards system progressed by playing PvP matches and winning monthly Automated Tournaments. A Reward Track is activated in the PvP panel and provides rewards across 8 tiers with 5 rewards in each tier.

Many reward tracks are released alongside the expansions and Living World releases, providing an alternative source to earn their respective PvE rewards. Some reward tracks can be repeated infinitely, other – only completed once.

Reward track progress[edit]

A PvP reward track requires 20000 points earned towards it for completion. Each reward is awarded every 500 points; major rewards are awarded every 2500 points. Points can be earned in two ways:

  1. By playing matches. The different arenas provide different amounts of progression per game:
    • Unranked and ranked wins progress the track by 700 points.
    • Unranked and ranked losses progress the track by 350 points.
    • A Custom Arena win, at maximum contribution, progresses the track by 450 points; a loss counts as 225 points. Maximum contribution is reached after 7 minutes spent in the match. To reduce botting, Custom Arena progress is capped at two major rewards per day.[1]
  2. Consuming a Potion of PvP Reward (obtained from PvP objective dailies) or Large Potion of PvP Reward (obtained from winning a monthly Automated Tournament).
    • Standard potions progress the track by 250 points, i.e. 80 potions will complete an entire track.
    • Large potions progress the track by 2500 points, i.e. 8 large potions will complete an entire track.
  3. Consuming a Potion of Mist Rewards (obtained from Black Lion chests)
    • Potion of Mist Rewards progress the track by 250 points, i.e. 80 potions will complete an entire track. These potions also provide WvW reward track progress.

Players can only make progress on a single reward track at a time. Switching between tracks will save any progress made, and players can return where they left off. There is no known way to reset a reward track without finishing it.

Upon completion of a reward track, the next reward track with the most progress is automatically activated, unless the autorepeat icon (shaped like an infinity sign) has been checked, in which case it will restart the current track.

Reward track progress is linear and is the same for all tracks.[2]

It takes a maximum of 2 Potion of PvP Reward to receive a single reward from the track.

Reward track modifiers[edit]

There are several effects to increase the amount of reward track points earned. These modifiers do not affect Potion of PvP Reward.

Dungeon tracks[edit]

Dungeon tracks are available on a two week rotating cycle. Players can complete the story mode of the associated dungeon—or in the case of Arah, completion of Victory or Death or explorable mode—to unlock its reward track permanently. Any story mode completion prior to the introduction of PvP reward tracks in 15 April, 2014 will not count.

Every two tiers of a reward track, players may choose a weapon and will be given 60 dungeon tokens. Completing a reward track gives a total of 240 dungeon tokens. At the end of a reward track a player may choose a single piece of armor associated with the dungeon. For information about specific attribute values granted by different types of equipment, see Equipment acquisition by stats#Dungeons.

Notes[edit]

  • Progress is not affected by top stats[3] nor by PvP rank points[2].
  • Most non-repeatable chests listed above have a repeatable variant which awards similar amounts of loot to other repeatable tracks.
  • Only Custom Arena progress is capped; progress via ranked, unranked, or potions is not.
    • The cap is reset at Reset.
    • Due to the cap, it takes 4 days to complete a reward track using only Custom Arena Track Wins.
    • Without bonuses, earning 5000 points requires 15-16 custom wins.
