Level rewards

Reward screen with rewards and level-up guide.

Level rewards were introduced with the September 2014 Feature Pack as part of the New Player Experience system. Every time you reach each level from 2 to 80 a notification will appear to the right of the screen. Clicking on it will show a reward screen with the rewarded items for the level.

Important information about game systems, including any item that was unlocked that level, is also presented in the form of a reward, indicated by an ⓘ symbol and the mouse-over text "Click for more information.", in the level-up guide. Unlocked items can be skills, traits, personal story chapters, etc. Several systems presented in the level-up guide are not locked out, they can be accessed before the time through other ways (like portals or hotkeys).

Certain map icons are hidden until the level requirement is reached, such as Points of Interest until level 4 and Hero point challenges until level 11. Once unlocked, they will be visible to all characters on the account regardless of level.

3	+7	Leather Bag (8 slots)		Inventory Things like bags, weapons and armor can be equipped. Open your inventory with the [I] key, and double-click on equipment to equip it. Player vs. Player Take capture points, slay enemies, and earn rewards in a Player versus Player team battle. Click the crossed swords icon in the top left of your screen to enter PvP, which boosts your level to 80 for the duration of the fight. Content Guide The Content Guide points the way to nearby events, renown hearts, scouts, and unexplored areas. Check here if you're ever lost and looking for something to do!	Edit
4	+7		Weapon Skill 3 You've unlocked your third weapon skill. Press 3, or click your third hotkey, to unleash your new attack.	Banking Visit bankers in cities and towns to deposit items and view your collectibles. Some items, like crafting materials, can be deposited from anywhere by right-clicking the item in your inventory and choosing Deposit Material. Points of Interest Points of interest are now shown on your map. Find them to gain experience and reveal new map locations. Dodging Dodge to avoid danger by pressing the V key or by double-tapping a movement key. While dodging, you're temporarily invulnerable. The yellow endurance bar above your health drains with each dodge, but it will recover over time.	Edit
5	+7		Rally Unlocked You now enter a downed state when your health reaches zero. Press 1 to fight for your life, or press 4 to mend yourself. Afterward, your health is lower for a while, so be careful. (Downed skill 1, Downed skill 4) New Profession Skill Unlocked: Profession Skill 1 Guardian: You've unlocked your first profession skill. F1 now makes your next attack burn your foe. Profession Skill 1 You've unlocked your first profession skill. Your heal skills now give you a new ability to use with F1. Profession Skill 1 and Adrenaline Stage 1 You've unlocked your first profession skill. When an adrenaline bar's full, F1 now unleashes devastating attacks for each equipped weapon. Profession Skills 1 and 2 You've unlocked your profession skill. Press F1 to appear near an enemy and steal from it. The stolen-item skill slot (F2) then changes depending on the creature you stole from. Profession Skills 1, 3, and 4. You've unlocked your first profession skill. F1 now sics your pet on your target. F3 calls your pet back to your side. Pet panel Interact with juvenile creatures to tame them. The pet panel above your skill bar opens a window where you can review and select your tamed pets. Profession Skill 2 You've unlocked your second profession skill: water attunement. Press F2 to switch to this attunement, which gives you more healing and support skills. Press F1 to switch back to fire. Profession Skill 1 You've unlocked your profession skill. Press F1 to enter Death Shroud, where you'll get new skills and lose life force instead of health. Profession Skill 1 You've unlocked your first profession skill. Pressing F1 now shatters your clones and phantasms to damage foes. The more clones you have (up to 3), the more damage your target incurs.		Edit

7	+7		Downed Skill 2 Unlocked: You've unlocked your second downed ability. While downed, press 2 or click the second icon to shoot a grappling line that pulls your target toward you. You've unlocked your second downed ability. While downed, press 2 or click the second icon to throw a hammer that knocks down enemies. You've unlocked your second downed ability. While downed, press 2 or click the second icon to teleport to your cursor's location. You've unlocked your second downed ability. While downed, press 2 or click the second icon to turn into a cloud of vapor and move unharmed around the battlefield until you eventually return to downed state. You've unlocked your second downed ability. While downed, press 2 or click the second icon to make your target flee in fear. You've unlocked your second downed ability. While downed, press 2 or click the second icon to create a downed clone of yourself that makes you harder to target. Vistas Unlocked Vistas are now shown on your map. You've unlocked your third downed ability. While downed, press 3 or click the third icon to create a field that damages and poisons nearby foes.	Gathering To gather, equip the appropriate tools. Mining picks gather ore, harvesting sickles gather plants, and logging axes gather wood from trees. The materials you collect can craft new items.	Edit
10	+7		Personal Story Unlocked Your story awaits you! Check the upper-right corner of your screen for your next story step. Follow the green objective markers on your map, or quickly travel to your story step by opening your map and clicking a waypoint near the green marker. Weapon-Swapping Unlocked Ready your second weapon set by arming it in your Hero panel. Press [~] to switch sets at any time. During battle, there's a nine-second cooldown between weapon swaps. Raptor Mount Unlocked Unlocks the raptor mount for expansion-upgraded accounts (if you don't already have it). Starts the Raptor Mount Trial for Play for Free accounts.		Edit
Levels 11-20
11	+5		Utility Skill Slot Unlocked You've unlocked your first utility skill slot. To equip a utility skill, click the arrow above your seventh skill slot and select a skill. Legend Slot Adrenaline Stage 2 Unlocked You've unlocked stage two adrenaline. Your adrenaline bar can now fill an additional stage, which increases the effectiveness of your F1 skill. You've unlocked your second profession skill. F2 now activates a different skill based on waht's in your first utility skill slot. Profession Skill 2 Profession Skill 3 You've unlocked your third profession skill: air attunement. Press F3 to switch to this attunement, which gives you more damage and control skills.	Hero Points You can unlock skills by spending hero points in the training tab inside the hero panel. Hero points are earned by leveling up and by completing hero challenges found throughout Tyria. 12	+10	Crude Salvage Kit Choice of: Copper Doubloon, Garnet Pebble, or Malachite Pebble		Upgrades Upgrade items improve your equipment's performance. Double-click an upgrade, and then click on a piece of gear with an unused upgrade slot to fuse the upgrade to the gear. Salvaging Some items you'll find will be salvagable. Use a salvage kit to break them down into crafting materials. Crafting Visit any city to find a Master Craftsman and learn a trade. Learning trades lets you craft weapons or armor, or even cook foods that temporarily boost stats.	Edit
13	+5		All pet skills unlocked	Conditions Conditions are negative status effects that players and creatures use. They include damage conditions (bleeding, burning, confusion, poison, and torment), movement-impairing conditions (cripple, chill, and immobilize), debilitation conditions (blind, weakness, vulnerability, and slow), and disabling conditions (fear and taunt). Certain skills can remove these effects from you and your allies. Daily achievements Daily achievements are now unlocked. Complete them every day to earn bonuses and rewards. Open the Hero panel and click on the Achievements tab to see today's tasks.[sic] Laurels Laurels are a currency earned through daily log-in rewards. 14	+10	Mighty Chainmail Helm Mighty Rawhide Mask Mighty Apprentice Band		Map completion Map completion is another way to explore Tyria. Find all waypoints, points of interest, and vistas and complete all renown hearts and hero challenges in a map to earn rewards. Your completion progress is on your map. Masterwork Equipment You can now equip masterwork gear. It's distinguished by its green text and improved stats.	Edit

16	+10			Guild panel Guilds are a great way to make friends, explore Tyria with others, and gain access to bonuses. Press the [G] key or click the Guild button in the top left to find out more.	Edit

Open the Hero Panel and click on "Wardrobe" to swap the look of your equipment with skins you've collected. 21	+6		Specializations Specializations are now unlocked. You can now spend hero points in the training tab on specializations. Once you begin training a specialization, you can set your active specialization in the build tab of the hero panel. Traits Traits are now unlocked. Spending hero points in specializations earns you traits. Once unlocked, you can select them in the build tab for your specialization.		Edit
22	+14			Combat Combinations Create combos with other players' skills in combat. Some skills, like elementalist's Flame Wall, create fields that cause projectiles shot through them to deal additional burning damage. Check your skills to see your combo fields and combo finishers.	Edit

Notes

• There are no level rewards after reaching level 80. XP earned by max level characters will go towards filling your current region's selected Mastery line, or into a pool which rewards you with 1 Spirit Shard every 254,000 XP earned.
• Before the May 24, 2022 update the rewarded equipment items were non-salvageable, but could be used in the Mystic Forge though. That update made them salvageable and able to be sold to vendors.
• Most of the information items on the rewards windows are purely informative, and are available from the start of play.
• As of the October 18, 2022 update leather bags rewarded are now 8 slots instead of 4 slots.
• Consuming the Level-80 Boost does not reward you with the item rewards listed above. All remaining stats and hero points are awarded, and all core skills and traits are unlocked using those points.
