Hitbox

A Hitbox is the (invisible) area or shape around a character or object that determines whether the impact of an ability is considered a hit or not. In Guild Wars 2, the hitbox correlates usually with the size of the selection circle but there is no inherent way to know the exact size of a unit's hitbox. Hitboxes are a relevant factor in end game content when it comes to damage potential of certain builds since some abilities can hit an increased amount of times on larger hitboxes thus increasing their damage output.

Overview[edit]

The hitbox size of a playable character is 48 (diameter in ingame units).

The following tables give the hitboxes (diameter in ingame units) of enemies in Raid, Strike Mission and Fractal Challenge Mote encounters as well as Training Golems:
