  • Update {{prefix selection}} usage to reflect currently listed prefixes from the API. In particular: (1) substitute the badly named "all ascended" option for the prefixes, (2) use new prefix groups from the template where possible, (3) otherwise update other prefixes directly.

  • Currently the set parameter within infoboxes allows shorthands for weapon/armor sets. In theory this is good, but in practise it means we have to use redirects on pages where the set name is like "x weapon skins" instead of "x weapons" or "x armor". I'm going to spell out the full names of all currently specified sets. This change applies to {{armor infobox}}, {{weapon infobox}} and {{skin infobox}}. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 11:20, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Convert all instances of {{achievement box|name=Whatever}} within "Related achievements" sections to *{{achievement|Whatever}} (note the bullet). (Seems like all cases where we'd prefer to keep the box template aren't under a "Related achievements" header, so we should be good to go.) If possible, any existing bullet points beneath the achievement template should get an extra asterisk so they indent properly. —Idris User Idris signature.png 16:05, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Would have to loop over all the articles using {{achievement box}}, and just skip it if it does not contain "Related achievements". Messy but doable. Running the bot now (potentially will misfire if a page contains related achievements section below a valid use of the box template - can't really script it to only scan beneath a given section title). -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 20:40, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
1Yes 663 edits (85 manual). 1205 pages skipped. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 21:16, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, I wasn't sure what was feasible to do with a bot. I can think of a couple of types of articles where this would have misfired (achievement articles and items acquired via achievement), but there shouldn't be too many and I can probably pick them out by hand. :) —Idris User Idris signature.png 21:48, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
My capabilities with a bot are pretty lame; find and replace, delete, move. Anything else is hard. Re-ordering sections needs some clever regular expressions but would need to be supervised since its so likely to go wrong. Chieftain Alex -5.65.85.217 23:17, 19 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Update the standard description for minis.
Anet appears to have done an update for their minis, and removed nearly all references to the word miniature. Could we have a bot do a pass over the item descriptions and change:

We have different categories for Experimental, Perfected, Precursor, and Legendary weapons. I don't see why elite specialization equipment can't be the same.--Lon-ami (talk) 20:52, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Do we want one sentence to have its own template though? ❄The F. Prince❄ (talk) 19:47, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Done: [[Template:Exotic runes text]]. ❄The F. Prince❄ (talk) 19:55, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. Moved to Template:Mystic forge runes text‎‎ and created Template:Mystic forge sigils text‎‎ too. Turned out there was too much inconsistent formatting to bot it easily, did most by hand for the Superior Sigils. Still need to do the Superior Runes, then consider if we want to cover the Major ones too. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 22:07, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Update infobox prefix field for all raid equipment, from "selectable" to "assaulter/defender/healer/malicious".--Lon-ami (talk) 15:20, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
0No This isn't how the prefix parameter works on infoboxes. Prefixes have so far been documented pretty much exactly as they appear ingame (givers excluded), or set to selectable. Specific selectable stats are specified on pages via {{Prefix selection}}. Setting the prefix to "assaulter"/"defender"/"healer"/"malicious" opens up a whole can of worms for the user-made prefix groups.
Plus setting it to anything other than "selectable" will break a bunch of templates which check if the "prefix" parameter is equal to selectable or not. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:36, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
But they're actual prefixes, used across pretty much all the equipment dropped at raids. There's no other selectable groups out there, and user-made groups shouldn't be accepted anyway. The templates can always be adjusted from an if to a switch, I doubt there's many using that property anyway. This change would let us know which raid weapons are which selectable group through its properties, and classify them accordingly.--Lon-ami (talk) 20:52, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
Aren't they just part of the weapon naming scheme, indepedent of the prefix attributes? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 06:22, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
They're fixed selectable groups, Assaulter's weapons always have "assaulter attribute combinations". Most selectables are pretty inconsistent across the board, but raid equipment has the same prefix pool for every assaulter/defender/healer/malicious equipment.
Where could this be useful? Well, right now, when generating tables, you can't really tell which of the four variations has each prefix. Substrings won't work, since sometimes the prefix is in the middle, like Qadim's Assaulter Pistol. It's kinda pointless to put the four variations together (and a waste of space), so using something like Qadim's Flamebelcher.pngQadim's Pistol Assaulter / Defender / Healer / Malicious would be the ideal solution. You can retrieve the four easily by using has skin, but you can't rename them correctly, even if they're sorted, since you can't give the output template any kind of custom index, and you can't control who's first, second, and so.
Maybe there's a way to do that, in which case the property wouldn't be necessary in this case. I would like to create a special item icon template for both the raid weapons (with the structure above) as well as items with attuned/infused versions, and combinations of both, like {{item icon|Xera Backpiece}} Assaulter Inf / Defender Inf / Healer Inf / Malicious Inf. Doing it manually is a pain, and can't automate it without a property to identify each properly; unless there's another way to do it, of course.--Lon-ami (talk) 10:25, 26 October 2018 (UTC)

Sorry but why would you convert "thumb" to "right" on images without descriptions? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 08:40, 17 June 2018 (UTC)
It was dead space imo, which was part of the point of the little removing extra spaces sweep. - Doodleplex 15:24, 17 June 2018 (UTC)
Besides having text, it adds some framing to the image which looks better imo, but importantly adds the little link button beneath which may prompt viewers unfamiliar with the wiki that they can click on the image to expand it. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:15, 17 June 2018 (UTC)
Second run, just did Updates, total of 98 edits. Lots of double spacing and headers that either had no spacing or too much. - Doodleplex 21:06, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
