The Brim & Scarab Detective Agency[1] is a private detective agency formed by Gorrik, Rama, and their friends.

- The agency was originally named and registered in Cantha as Friends' Detective Agency[2] by Gorrik.
- He also considered the name Big Hat Detectives before settling on the current name.

- Gorrik: Brim and Scarab. See, the "Scarab" is an obvious homage to my love of beetles. And the "Brim" refers to your hat.
- Gorrik: I also proposed "Big Hat Detectives," but Jory was concerned the name wouldn't be taken seriously.
