The rates at which monsters respawn seems inconsistent with the number of players actually in an area, at least so I've found. With skill/armor nerfing for higher level players in lower level areas, this becomes a huge issue for a single player when trying to finish a map if no one else is around to help and the respawn rate is so high that a single player can't clear an area long enough to safely move into it even for a short time. (That nerfing is also a strong disincentive for leveling in the first place, but that's also something that I feel we should discuss.) IMHO, there should be a sweet spot that balances out a higher level player's ability to finish a lower level area (or even get to it) with the number of players there and the respawn rate at that point. No one said the game should be EASY, but it shouldn't be impossible, either. 19:21, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Posting suggestions like this to the wiki isn't going to have any effect. Anet does not, as a rule, pay attention to discussion on the wiki. You should post this in the official forums instead, they even have a Suggestions sub-forum specifically for things like this. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 19:35, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
You might want to describe what prof and build you are using. To date, I haven't had any trouble clearing maps with toons of higher level and only a little trouble with near- or at-level characters. It's clear from PUGging that I'm far from being an elite player, so I think you might be able to speed up your map completion by changing tactics rather than waiting to find a group or for ANet to update the game. 75.37.16.51 19:54, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
