Click To Move option[edit]

moved from Talk:Main Page

I asked support about mouse click to move option and they told me they do not have anything planned yet but it's not entirely won't be added. They told me to contact dev team and best way is to post somewhere where development team would see and so here I am, redirected by GW2 Support to ask developer on considering mouse click to move.

We have it in gw, why not add it in gw2 too? In gw we can choose either WASD or mouse click in option, sure GW2 is a different game but why not right? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 175.145.235.174 (talk • contribs) at 01:44, 5 August 2012 (UTC).

I'm afraid you've been misdirected - the dev team does not read the wiki. You'll need to wait for the official forums to re-open, then you can post about this in the Suggestions forum. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 01:46, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
They mention that too, about forum is closed for the moment and told me I could post this in wiki for now - TS--219.92.96.232 08:27, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Neither the wiki nor the forums are an appropriate place for this suggestion. They said several times they will NEVER implement a click-to-move option, simply because the game is heavily focused on action and movement. Sorry to shatter your dreams, but you have to live with it. Gnarf 09:15, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Response Via Email (GM Bunni3) 08/04/2012 06:33 PM Hi there,

We always appreciate hearing from our players. Although we cannot say for sure if such a feature will be implemented into Guild Was 2 in the future, I do recommend that you share your ideas with the Development Team directly, as they are in charge of planning and implementing the design of the game.

While the members Development Team are not able to respond to every thread, having suggestions available in a public area helps them gauge the amount of interest for various ideas, and also allows other players to discuss and offer feedback of their own.

To do this, we invite you to our forums, where they can view your feedback first hand. We must inform you that at the present time, the forums are inaccessible. As a momentary alternative, I recommend utilizing our official wiki site.

For more information about how to set up a wiki account and create your suggestion, please refer to the link I have provided below.

Now, could u point me to where exactly did they mention they would NEVER impliment click to move? Thank you

As you can see, they directed you to the wiki for Guild Wars (not Guild Wars 2) as that wiki has a suggestion section. Follow the link provided to that wiki and post your suggestion there, there is has a chance to get read. - anja talk 07:31, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Do you realize that this is a macro and that the support team has no insight to game design processes? — Gnarf ~ El Psy Congroo ~ 09:37, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
This whole conversation is going way off track and never had to go any further than informing the poster that we do not store suggestions here and that the developers cannot legally read or use any suggestions posted here due to our licensing terms. @OP, if you check the email you will notice that it directs you to the feedback section of the wiki for Guild Wars, not Guild Wars 2. That is a separate entity where they set up a section with different licensing conditions that allow developers to use suggestions posted there. As Anja suggested, if you want your suggestion to have any chance of being read or implemented you should follow the link in the email to the feedback section, create an account and post suggestions to your heart's content. If you prefer you can also wait until the GW2 forums reopen after release. For legal reasons the developers cannot comment on or implement suggestions given anywhere else.
