Walkthrough[edit]

Area 1[edit]

There's a shopkeeper at the start of the level.

Item Cost Description

Small Health Refill
Medium Health Refill

5 Baubles
25 Baubles

Wooden Whistle 250 Baubles Equip a wooden whistle.

Follow the ledges to the right past the windy wall (? what to call these?) and around the corner. Be sure to not stand in front of the wall whenever it opens as it will knock you down off the level. Walk onto the narrow ledge to the right of the two spruces to find a blue bauble (1). Jump up and head up the snowy slope, taking note of the owl in the nearby spruce. Once you've reached level ground, turn around and jump the ledges on the right side to find a yellow bauble (2).

Head back to the snowy slope, but instead of going all the way up, jump from the right side to an icy elevated platform with a single spruce and a small slope; there's a yellow bauble (3) hidden behind the tree. Drop down, past the Hillbillies, and continue ahead. There's a narrow path behind the next tree and the wall that you can go through. Walk this route, taking note of icicles falling from the ceiling, and turn left after the first icy fences at sight. There's a platform with a blue bauble (4) ahead. If you go to the right and past a single tile of icy spikes instead, you'll end up at Raccoon Kingpin.

After picking the bauble, go forward for a little longer to find a closed face in the wall. If you have the Wooden Whistle and learned Gatekeeper Lullaby in Pain Cliffs, you can play the song (332331) to make the face open. In the hidden room, find your way to the top by jumping on the ledges protruding from the walls. From there, you can drop down to a hidden corridor-like section with two Polar Bears. Go all the way to the end; you can reveal Hidden Room 1 in the right wall with a bomb. Use the glove to open the wall in the front of you and jump to the ledge on your right to reach the King Raccoon area.

Backtrack to the large snowy slope and this time proceed forward at the top of it. There's an alcove on the right with a barrel containing ?. Go past it to the corridor right after and use a bomb to reveal Hidden Room 2. There's nothing in this hidden room except icicles falling down, so head back and to the right. Climb the ledges as advised by the guide on the wall on the platform with a Polar Bear. Don't go to the left just yet, but instead head right where there's a single blue bauble (5) resting on a platform. You can get the bauble by using Whip while jumping or by dodge jumping from a nearby ledge.

Now follow the guiding hands and you'll eventually end up at a shop in a cave (Hidden Room 3). You will need to buy a Torch here for 400 baubles to proceed unless someone in your party already has one.

The ledges continue past the cave to the left, leading to a frozen waterfall, which you can thaw temporarily with the Torch. Walk a bit to reach the first checkpoint.

Area 2[edit]

Jump onto a protrusion on the left wall and walk along it to find a Polar Bear and a chest, containing two red baubles (6-7). If you don't yet have a key, you can either buy one from Hidden Room 3 or 4, or get one from the Bananas at the lower level; the outer edge of the platform can be climbed to get back up from the bottom. After opening the chest, head opposite to the chest and a little right, there's a kind of hole. Jump down and land on the higher part at the wall, then go right and drop a step to find a yellow bauble (8). Then, stay close to the left wall and find a small alcove at the back. Throw a bomb at the wall there to get to Hidden Room 4, a shop. Here you can buy the second wallet upgrade among other things.

Exit the shop and turn left twice to find a couple of snowy platforms you can climb on top of. You'll see another one with a barrel in the distance, so jump there. The barrel contains a speed boost. Jump from here to the icy plateau with four wind faces, some red barrels and four blue baubles (9-12). Once you've collected all four, backtrack a bit to between the first two faces. From here, if you go to the cliffside end, you can drop down to a hidden section underneath. Collect the blue bauble (13) and go forward; you'll come across a choice of two different pushable walls. Drop down to the left one, push the wall and jump to the platform ahead to collect a yellow bauble (14). It appears there is no way to get back from here without suiciding.

Now, go past the four wind faces again and around the corner. Walk across the closed mouth of a wind face to reach two more active ones, and jump past them to find a teleporter. Once you've stepped on it, check the corner of the platform you ended up for a single blue bauble (15). Then go the other way and jump around the corner via a small snowy platform. You'll end up at a small staircase and a large opening inside the mountain. Collect the blue bauble (16) at the bottom and climb upwards, collecting a green bauble (17) and a yellow bauble (18) on the way, until you come across an open-air room with icy floor. (Does the climbing part need more details?) There's a checkpoint next to a pushable block.

Area 3 WIP[edit]

(banana and polar bear plateaus, second chest, HR5-8 yada)

If you're playing on Infantile Mode, you might want to buy two keys per player from Hidden Room 3 or 4 and bring them here as they drop rarely in that mode and you can't buy any further ahead nor go back to get more later on.

To open the door and reach the next checkpoint, just step on each of the tiles once to light them up.

Area 4[edit]

Climb up the stairs onto a mostly ice-covered corridor with a Banana. Before proceeding too far, throw a bomb at the wall on your right to reveal Hidden Room 9 with six blue baubles (xx-xx) inside. Collect the baubles and then continue down the corridor to a room with a pit full of icy spikes, looking out for falling icicles both inside the room and on the way forward.

In this room you'll find the first large icicle you need to make fall yourself. First, climb on the set of ledges on the left and throw a bomb at the crack on the side of the icicle; if you hit, you'll notice it changes in appareance. Then return and climb another set of ledges on the right side instead to get on the other side of the pit. There, you'll find a single blue bauble (xx). Now throw a bomb at the another crack in the icicle to make it fall. From here, you can jump onto it and towards the next checkpoint. Do not get hit by the red barrels or the three falling icicles on the way.

Area 5[edit]

You'll end up in a long corridor with lots of icy spikes and two Bananas. There's a blue bauble (xx) hidden in an alcove on the left past the small step in the middle; be careful to not slide into the red barrel next to it.

Go back to the safe spot where the floor has the little step and play Gatekeeper Lullaby (332331) to open Hidden Room 10. Go up the stairs and run up to the second to last waterfall and thaw it and the following one with the torch. Proceed by going left, then right twice, and then forward until you find a way outside the maze. Now, go left and you'll see an ice field chock full of Bananas. Defeat all of them and a new room appears in a corner of the room (left from the entrance). This is Hidden Room 11, in which you'll learn Shatter Serenade (133133). With it, you can permanently shatter waterfalls and drop icicles from the ceiling.

Now go back to the room with spikes and forward past the frozen waterfall to find another tile puzzle guarded by a Banana. The puzzle works like the previous one: the door opens once all tiles have been lit. This time there are goats that stomp some of the tiles as well as deal damage, though. The catch here is that the goats' movement patterns are predefined, so even if they seem to mess your progress, just focus on stepping on each tile once. At some point of their movement cycle, the puzzle will return to a state where each tile they touch has been stomped by a goat an even number of times, nullifying all effects.

Climb the stairs to reach the next checkpoint.

Area 6 WIP[edit]

Right after the checkpoint, turn left to find a chest with a purple bauble (xx) inside. If you don't yet have enough keys for the whole party and you're not playing on Infantile Mode, defeat the Banana a bit ahead and other Bananas on Areas 4 and 5 for more. Then, turn around and find a single blue bauble (xx) in the alcove on the opposite side. Past the Banana is a hole you have to jump through.

(huge ice climb)

Area 7 WIP[edit]

(clouds and stuff, elite skill room, HR 12-15)

Area 8 WIP[edit]

Jump across the collapsing cloud to the platform with three Polar Bears, two on the base level and one on the elevated level. There's also a single blue bauble (xx) on the elevation. Go to the end opposite of the checkpoint and you'll see a line of clouds forming. Jump from cloud to cloud to reach a distant section with a large room with a mostly spike-covered floor. Take caution as some of the clouds are of the collapsing kind, and a few jumps are quite long. There's a barrel with a speed boost on the way, which may make some of the jumps easier.

The spike room requires you to drop multiple large icicles similar to in Area 4. This becomes trivial if you've learned Shatter Serenade (133133) as it'll be unnecessary to locate the weak spots on the icicles. The first thing to do here is to follow the path on the right edge, as it will lead to a face in the wall that you can open with Gatekeeper Lullaby (332331) to open Hidden Room 16. Step on the teleporter and push the door open on the other side to open a shortcut from the checkpoint to the spike room, then step on the other teleporter to go back.

(massive spikes room w/ HR16, fourth chest)

There's a chest with a purple bauble (58) in it. If you play in Infantile Mode and bought keys for the chest before, you'll need to backtrack now to bring them here. You can get back to Area 5 from the long icy climb by jumping a set of ledges on the right side (as seen from the top), past an icy plateau, climbing atop the nose of a diagonally laid stone face, and a few more jumps to find a pushable wall. In other modes, you'll likely obtain the missing keys during the next section, so don't panic if you don't have a key yet.

Jump back up to the platform leading to the icy bridge but don't go there just yet. Instead, face a bit right to the chest; you'll need to do a tricky jump around the corner to a small ledge. Follow the ledges ahead to get onto the ceiling of the spike room. There are a few Bananas here, you should take out all three so that they won't bother you while you're attempting the next jumps. Close to where you ended up when you first came up there is a small elevated platform you'll need to get on top of; for now only the dodge jumping seems to work (level design should not require this per the devs on forums, so where's the intended route?). Once you land on that platform, jump onto another ledge on the left, then do a tricky jump around the corner to another ledge, jump across the gap to the other side and back on another ledge to get on top of that rocky body.

Look to the right from here and you'll see some bare rock faces ahead below. Jump there and head left, still staying on the rock for now. You should see a Banana ahead, jump down there. Another Banana can be seen ahead; jump to where it is by using the small protrusion. Be careful to not fall down to the spike room from here, otherwise you'll have to come all the way back. Turn around and head left, and you'll find an alcove with a yellow bauble (59) inside.

Now, drop down to the spiky room, open the chest from earlier if you didn't do so yet, and then cross the long icy bridge to reach the next checkpoint. Do not get pushed off by the windy faces; you should start moving from the start of the bridge as soon as you see the first one going off. There's a part in between the two faces that doesn't collapse, you should take a breather there before going past the second face.

Area 9[edit]

Before engaging the Yeti, go left and turn to face another closed face in the wall. Play the secret song (332331) to open Hidden Room 17, which contains three barrels, each with food items. There are also four blue baubles in total (60-63) in the four corners of the yeti arena, so remember to pick them up as well.

The Yeti fight is rather simple, just get on top of the hill without getting hit by a Block and hit the boss until you get knocked back. He can summon a bunch of Blocks that roll down the hill and cannot be dodged, throw a snowball or use a mauling attack at close range. Once defeated, he'll drop a red bauble and a teleporter to the final area appears at the top of the hill.

Area 10[edit]

Proceed through the teleporter. You'll be transferred to an octogonal platform suspended in air to confront the Storm Wizard.

Phase one[edit]

Storm Wizard cannot be damaged by normal means. He teleports into a corner of the platform and releases three magic spells that you can reflect back with the glove. If you hit, he takes two hits worth of damage and loses his shield temporarily while he runs off to a different corner of the platform. If you don't manage to reflect the magic back, he simply teleports to another spot. After his health is around halfway through, he starts to use a speedy dashing attack for a few seconds every time he loses his shield. The best tactic to avoid getting hit is to run along the edge of the platform; he can easily catch you up if he can run at a straight line, but he's slow at turning. Rinse and repeat until he runs out of health.

Phase two[edit]

After you have depleted Storm Wizard's health, he transforms into a dragon form and takes off. The platform splits into a center part and eight smaller sections floating around it. Multiple Lightning Bolts appear on all of these sections in two waves, stay in the middle and defeat all of the ones that spawn in the center part. Once the second wave is defeated, jump off to any of the side sections as Storm Wizard releases a lightning breath onto the center part and flies off. Keep an eye on the platforms from above and jump to another one if needed as he'll crash through one of them from below shortly. Afterwards he ends up to the middle section, on which you can deal damage to him for a short time. Usually you can deal enough damage to defeat him in two rounds.
