Fräulein Apfelbaum (English: Miss Apple Tree) is a secondborn sylvari mesmer who awakened during the dusk cycle. She is seen as shy by her friends, though she is quite intelligent. In her spare time, she can be found exploring the world. In contrast to her place of birth, The Grove, her favorite places to hang out are the southern portions of the Shiverpeak Mountains and Kryta. One day, she wishes to enter the Dominion of Winds. Miss Apfelbaum is very well befriended with the norn, as well as with the humans, with whom she likes to do beetle races with.

She tries to keep a low profile since she is a member of the Order of Whispers, after which she is named. Her intentions are mainly establishing peace throughout Tyria and Elona and (re)uniting all of the races, although she isn't really a fan of the Order of Shadows because they are more interested in being capable of subtly influencing events than freeing Elonians from the rule of Palawa Joko.
