Combining ancient Canthan celestial magic with modern Guardian spells, the path of the Magistrate was created to allow guardians greater control over their enemies and how they are able to assist their allies. Magistrates focus the power of the virtues as representations of celestial creatures bearing wards that are fueled by the power of the stars. These creatures act as guards to areas of the Magistrate's discretion, creating fields that defend against enemies. While attuned to these creatures Magistrates can further enforce their will through powerful glyphs attuned to the Celestials, providing various beneficial effects or further protections against enemies.

Profession mechanic[edit]

Magistrates have access to Celestials instead of their regular virtues, focusing that power into manifesting these creatures onto the battlefield. Due to the intense spell-work needed only two Celestials can be active, providing the Magistrate with only two of the guardian's traditional passive benefits. One Celestial assist the Magistrate in an active capacity, allowing itself to be directly manifested onto the battlefield, while a secondary Celestial provides it's natural passive ability. This ability to change between different Celestials is very much a kin a Weaver's ability to swap elements. Once an active Celestial has been selected, choosing them again will manifest them onto their battlefield turning the tide in the Magistrate's favor. A Celestial's domain is considered a light field with a radius of 300 units.

F1: Phoenix's Wrath Celestial 1 20 Bring forth the Phoenix (8s), who attacks enemies and whose domain causes allies gain might (8s) and burns enemies.
F2: Kirin of Resolve Celestial 1/2 Attune to the Kirin regenerating health.
F2: Kirin's Solace Celestial 1 30 Bring forth the Kirin (8s), who heals allies and whose domain inflicts weakness (4s) on enemies.
F3: Dragon of Courage Celestial 1/2 Attune to the Dragon gaining Aegis every few seconds
F3: Dragon's Defiance Celestial 1 40 Bring forth the Dragon (8s), who attacks enemies and whose domain destroys incoming projectiles and grants allies retaliation (2s).
F4: Turtle of Balance Celestial 1/2 Attune to the Turtle losing conditions every few seconds.
F4: Turtle's Contemplation Celestial 1 40 Bring forth the Turtle (8s), who removes conditions from allies and whose domain grants allies resistance (2s) and Stability (2s).

Weapon skills[edit]

Magistrates gain access to dual pistols allowing them to harry foes from afar and gain a melee attack chain when striking enemies in melee range, skills will not be available until 2 pistols are equipped. Ranged skills operate at 900 range.

3 Celestial Radix 1 8 Charge and shoot forward a slowly moving orb of light that shoots piercing light at enemies.
4 Elected Detriment 1 10 Evade backwards from your foe while shooting them applying vulnerability (6s).
5 Starlit Desparado 2 1/4 30 Shoot multiple light mines into the sky that crash down upon the target area.
