Kelborne Davrel: I have played GW1 for some time, and am especially fond of Pre-Searing, RA, TA(R.I.P.), and the Prophecies campaign. I follow the GW2 updates religiously and can't wait for an opportunity to play. I will be undoubtedly playing a variety of characters in GW2, but my favorites so far are:

  • The Warrior My current build idea is to wield a rifle, generate Max Adrenaline, Use Take Aim, Use Signet of Might, then charge up Charged Shot to Max. Assuming all of these mechanics work together, this could lead to a devastating sniper-shot. As a backup skill-set I might use any combination of Sword, Shield, Mace, and Axe, should the fighting get that close.
    • Human This variation might make use of skills like Hounds of Balthazar to bolster numbers.
    • Charr This variation could use Battle Roar to supplement Warrior shouts, but more importantly it provides a warrior the means to lay Shrapnel Mines to hinder the movement of foes, slowing pursuers or setting up for an ambuscade.
  • The Ranger My current build idea is to wield a motely assortment of Traps and ambuscade-type utility skills to supplement Greatsword and Longbow weapon styles, by hindering, slowing, or stopping my foe to unleash devastating ranged fire and to allow me to chase down any stragglers with the Greatsword.
    • Human This variation might make use of prayers to increase survivability when engaging foes or fleeing from them to disappear into the terrain.
    • Charr This variation could make use of Battle Roar at the onset of an ambush, and Shrapnel Mines only add to the Ranger's deadly array of Traps.
  • The Thief My current build idea is to wield Dual Pistols and use a Sword/Pistol build as my swap. This allows me access to powerful ranged fire when necessary, giving me some close-range options, while ensuring that even when involved in melee combat, I have options to engage any foe at range. This limits my close-quarters effectiveness, but ensures ranged domination.
    • Human This variation might make use of prayers for healing, or use the Hounds of Balthazar to engage and distract foes while I encircle them or escape under the cover of stealth.
    • Norn This variation could take advantage of the Norn's ability to shape-shift, perhaps giving further stealth options in Snow Leopard Form, or allowing me to shift into Bear Form for tough situations.
