Set yourself in flames, then jump through the window!! Lokheit 10:05, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Ninjas can't grab you when you're on fire. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.59.51.182 (talk) at 07:08, 20 April 2011 (UTC).

I feel like this is a better skill for monks... (zing!) Thunderduck 2:31, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

Inner Fire[edit]

In case anyone wonders, this doesn't trigger Inner Fire. Apparently you have to be set on fire by someone/thing other than yourself. Kruhljak (talk) 13:15, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

Zealot's Flame doesn't actually cause burning on the user. Mediggo 13:57, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

Duration of burning[edit]

The duration on this is all over the map, the tooltip says 3 seconds, the note here says a total of 9 seconds, (two 3 second burns when initiated, plus one 3 second burn at the end.) Which is correct? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.66.63.92 (talk) at 14:39, 4 February 2013 (UTC).

I updated the note, the total burning duration is 12s (4 pulses * 3 seconds). You'll only see a maximum of 9s, though, because the 3s from the initial pulse is already burned (hah) when the skill ends. Bah, my wife tested this at home for me (I'm at work), and it does appear to work as the note previously stated. The new burning fact in the description says it should be working the way I described, but obviously it's bugged. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 16:00, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

Zealot's Fire[edit]

Does anybody know how the damage from this interracts with Zealot's Fire? Is it better to cast both skillss in quick succession or to wait and try to time Zealot's fire after most of the damage from Zealot's flame has been inflicted? Stu (talk) 12:54, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

This doesn't deal any damage directly, it applies multiple stacks of Burning over time. By using Zealot's Fire, you are foregoing the remaining stack(s) of Burning and increasing the recharge time for a single Burn plus damage. Obviously, it's better to wait until this skill has applied most of its Burning before using ZFire, if at all. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:03, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
It's basically the same as Impale / Rip, with the difference being Zealot's Fire actually hits decently hard on its own. Zealot's Flame is also AoE, whereas Zealot's Fire only hits one target, so obviously that's a consideration as well. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 17:14, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
