Hey, who's making the reverts? The statement is grammatically incorrect! (Xu Davella 21:43, 14 March 2011 (UTC))

Every skill page are written like this and I don't have a problem with it. Perhaps some discussion should be made about these descriptions before changing just a handful of them. 87.97.6.126 21:45, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
It was just the burst skills that I was changing. Something like, "warrior main-hand axe skill" should also say "warrior's main-hand axe skill". They aren't massive changes, but they make for easy reading. "warrior axe burst skill" has two consecutive nouns and may as well read "warrior-axe burst skill", which is unnecessary. (Xu Davella 21:57, 14 March 2011 (UTC))
(Edit conflict) I like the IP's version more, in the sense that it's more concise. - Infinite - talk 21:58, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
It's not a warrior's skill, it's a warrior skill. - Infinite - talk 21:58, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Aren't both statements equally correct? One's a possessive noun and the other is an adjective. I was just saying that when you have three adjectives before the word skill, then you either have to extend the hyphenation to compensate, i.e. "warrior main-hand-axe skill", or make it possessive as I mentioned before. (Xu Davella 22:06, 14 March 2011 (UTC))
It's probably better not to go with the extended hyphens because then we'd have to re-change all the categories. And at the moment they pass off as minor sentences. (Xu Davella 22:27, 14 March 2011 (UTC))
(I'm nearly positive this has been brought up more than once.) Professions can be used as nouns "The warrior used Power Shot." or as adjectives "The warrior skill power shot." It not a warrior's skill anyway. If anything it would have to be the plural possessive: warriors' skills. Aqua (T|C) 22:32, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
As the article currently stands, the profession is being used as an adjective. All of the articles start the sentence off with the skill name, not at the end. And I don't understand, if the skill can only be used by warriors, how is that not making it a warrior's skill? Is this some kind of, this skill remains the property of ArenaNet? because I think we can make that happen. :P(Xu Davella 22:45, 14 March 2011 (UTC))
I'm agreeing with Xu on this one. Also, for all of the burst skills, wouldn't it be "the warrior {weapon} burst skill"? Pretty sure there is only one. EiveTalk 22:50, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I believe that you are missing the point. "Power Shot is a warrior skill" and "The warrior skill, Power Shot..." both use warrior in the adjective form. It is common practice on wikipedia to begin the article with the article name linked to itself. In addition to being more concise, using warrior as an adjective makes it clear which profession uses skill x. Aqua (T|C) 22:52, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

No, no... I see where you're coming from. But the articles that I'm having trouble reading are the ones where there is more than one adjective or noun following the other, creating a syntax error. Power Shot is a warrior skill is fine. Power Shot is a warrior rifle burst skill is not. You don't call the thing a warrior rifle. What about Power Shot is a burst skill for the warrior's rifle? Additional effects?[edit]

Does anyboy know whether there are additional effects when having more adrenaline than just increased range(40feet sounds rather weak compared to rush the range of wich is 100 feet)? Corvus 18:31, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

Rush doesn't knock targets back, you're just rushing to that target - at a speed that's probably a lot faster. -- Xu Davella 05:22, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
There could be some traits to improve burst skills as well. 62.197.173.242 08:40, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Concept[edit]

So the more pumped you are... the further a gun can fire a bullet?

And then there is the skill icon, further confusing the non-perverted mind. - Infinite - talk 11:30, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
I'm so proud of myself!
I actually wasn't thinking that at all. I was just outlining how much sense it... does not make at all. But yeah, well spotted! User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.jpg A F K When Needed 11:32, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
It's kind of my field of experience. Cough. - Infinite - talk 11:36, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I always guessed that about you.
You strike me as the kind of person who enjoys shooting people with somewhat old guns. User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.jpg A F K When Needed 11:38, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. - Infinite - talk 11:53, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
I've had a think about it, and I've worked it out. In fact, Infinite's perversion gave me the idea. See, as the character gains more adrenaline, they hold the barrel of the gun more tightly. This forces the cylinder inside to shrink, making it so that the bullet has to exert more energy to get through it. And if it has to exert more energy, it's going to travel further as a result. Of course, the character doesn't actually supply the extra energy it needs, they'd need more gunpowder for that... --Xu Davella 12:04, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
